Metal Detecting The Roman Field... Again! | Metal Detecting UK

In this weeks episode I have returned to the amazing field once more with my Metal Detector. This single field has produced some remarkable finds so far including Roman artefacts and Medieval coins to name but a few.
The question is, If i go over the same patch for a third time will I be able to find anything else?
Hit play and come along for the day as we soak up the sights and sounds of the beautiful English countryside as we attempt to uncover lost treasures buried beneath our feet.
This channel is a N.F.P (not for profit) channel and all proceeds made here go to the registered charity - Animals In Distress.

Hi Michael, I enjoyed the video as I have a couple of spots I continue to hunt. Whether I’m trying a new detector, coil or another program they are my favorite places to test again. There is something about scratching out a new find from somewhere you have throughly searched before. Thank you for taking us along on your hunt… John

A very rare occurrence over here in the uk. When the sun is out we make the most of it as it never lasts 😂👍

Another great video, and always shows a field is never done, that's the reason why I purchased the 9" coil last year to help with the iron separation on heavy patches

Thank you Linda. I heard good things about the manticore! I try not to focus so much on the machine side of things and concentrate more on the finds. Glad to hear you enjoy them. Michael 👍👍

Are you required to report medieval finds to your local finds officer? I understand that a find of multiple coins of ancient era is reported. However are artefacts of same period in need of reporting? Thanks. Great videos!

So there is many rules here in the Uk about reporting finds and to be honest it’s one of the most relaxed places to metal detect anywhere in the world. General rule of thumb is, anything made of precious metal over 300 years old has to be handed in and you then get a reward for doing so 👍👍

I’m very considerate and always try to make sure I do not damage them. The farmer knows this and lets me in there for a short period at least 👍👍
