I was actually just asking a team about those grass strips and whether permissions were needed. This was a very informative video. I didn't think of people getting pissed about it cuz they need to maintain that grass even tho it's not theirs. Now downtown Greenwood here has no homes....just businesses. I think I'll search that when I get a new detector. Thank you

Great video. Keep up the good finds 👍🏻 I just moved here recently to South Carolina and I’ve been finding some good stuff out here in the Spartanburg area.

Very nice silvers. Curbs strips can be very good. Smart tactic staying away from houses. Great video Happy Hunting

if you do not have a pinpointer you can go to a harbor freight store and get a stud finder that also pinpoints metal for about $30.00 dollars I have one and it works good . If you buy a pinpointer from a metal detector shop you will pay about $70.00 or $80.00, I had already made that mistake

In many old towns there are alleys behind the homes. They are usually gravel. I thought this would be a good place to look.

David Hefner have you tried them? I’m not sure they’re public areas.

Congratulations on your finds! Sidewalk silvers make for a great hunt. I noticed you use the exact same digger as me. Best wishes and HH Dave.

I used to use the Ames digger all the time but switched to a Lesche. I still like the Ames digger for the nice saw edge it has.

Nice silver scores! Those log tags are sure cool too. It's probably best to go to places like that with someone.

the state of south carolina owns the ground up to a foot past the side walk, but you have to get a permit from the high way department to dig

You are my favorite metal detecting channel. Your personality is kewl and you are so funny. I have always been subbed to you but I don't think i have been getting notifications. One of my favorite vids of yours is when you looked up and there was a fight and you got outta there. I dunno how but you make the vids interesting.

Thanks for the nice comment. I'm hoping to make more vids, sometimes it's hard to come up with decent content....as in finding something interesting besides modern pennies, lol.

DetectingMetal ...no, in your case...at least for me..it doesn't matter what you find..even if you find nothing...you are funny on your vids. Like when you said..."this is probably gonna suck". Or "I'm not gonna screw this up like I usually do" (rubbing a soiled coin). You are funny. I laugh out loud with your vids. I don't laugh on any other metal detecting vids.

DetectingMetal ....I'm considering making a vid where I suggest three metal detecting channels: yours, and Northwoods discovery (my cousin), and Tennessee Gem (he started out both metal detecting and YT channel at the same time as me). Would that be ok with you?

Sure, that's fine with me, thank you. I didn't know you had vids, I subbed you and I'll watch some later. Always nice to see ladies doing this, too many guys, lol.

Great hunt, congrats on the silvers! That looks like a cakewalk compared to the videos you did in the hood with cop cars jumping over the median......:)

lol, yeah the area turned out to be very quiet. The houses in the area were all pretty run down which got me nervous but I guess you can't judge a book by the cover.

Whenever you hunt a curb strip wear a reflective vest. Not only for safety reasons but people think you work for the utility company and won't ask as many questions. Nice hunt. thanks for sharing.

Thanks for risking your life for this video lol! I think you are right about those Log Dept. tags being related to the telephone poles. "AGL CORP'N" probably stands for Atlanta Gas Light Corporation.

They could be somewhat collectible. There are people who love collecting early power line Insulators and related items.

Nice hunt. I use a piranha shovel and it makes way neater plugs. It also is much easier and can be used for self defense if needed!

Loved your video...... Is that an etrac you use? It would help me out, since I just started MD'ing, if you'd express the VDI and depth you are seeing. I will get even better at this hobby. Do you know what variability of tones you have it set on? I found 2 bucketlisters Saturday, which were both V-nickels, 188? and a 1909. Nearly fainted since I live in the newest settlements in the USA, Seattle area!!

Yeah, it's an etrac, I've been using it for 7 years. It's a great machine for park type hunting. Depth depends on the soil, average northeast soil 8" on a dime, more or less depending on soil minerals and sensitivity conditions. Most people keep the variability & limits in the upper 20s. The tones get more distinctive when set higher. I keep the sensitivity on manual most of the time as high as possible and toggle between manual & auto. I use the andy sabisch coin pattern most of the time. In this spot I'm using a very high trash pattern because of all the trash next to the road. Just get used to the audio with iron falsing and go real slow over areas where you're finding good targets.

Nice hunts. Wish I had big sidewalk strips like that. Ours are not a coil width wide. GL&HH

Some of the sidewalks here had like a 20 ft space between the curb. Not sure if that's all public easement.
