Metal Detecting Gold & Silver Rings & Old Coins Treasure Hunting Trestles Beach Part 1

Metal Detecting Gold & Silver Rings & Old Coins Treasure Hunting Trestles Beach Part 1
Join me as I metal detect Trestles Beach in California. I find 7 Rings one is a beautiful 18k 750 white gold ring, another is a 14k gold ring damaged. I also found a 1907 V nickel, a silver dime and lots of coins.
I treasure hunt using a Minelab Equinox 800. I would like to thank the CKG Scoop company for providing me with such an awesome beach scoop. I was really missing Old Rusty and to have something almost identical is like having my old friend and gold magnet back.
I you would like to purchase my CKG Scoop see link below,

    You had a great day. think the footage of the pelicans, lady walking the beach and surf shots showed how much you enjoyed not only metal detecting, but the whole experience of being there. You also included information about the beaches, new sand and showing it is not easy and and digging garbage off the beach is a reality. I felt like I was there with you. You are rewarded with great finds and the joy of just being at the beach.

    Yes, I am intentionally trying to stager the releases of public videos otherwise the KZread algorithm stops promoting the 1st video but I still want the people who would like to see it all the opportunity to do so prior to it's release to public. Thank you!

    I use toilet bowel cleaner with calcium, lime and rust remove in it! American clad coins are not as good or durable as British coins.

    I’m so confused lol, you want cuts but at the same time you want sand on the beach? I thought cuts was sand being taken off the beach to expose old gold etc. wouldn’t sand cover everything up?

  • @funwithjim

    @funwithjim

    2 жыл бұрын

    storms or strong swells can create cuts that eat away the beach and shoreline exposing the deeper undetectable targets, so cuts are different than a push in event that takes items off shore and pushes them onto the shoreline. The best days are when a swell is strong enough to push up items onto the shoreline while also creating a cut. But on the west coast I would rather have a swell strong enough to push up items, I suggest you watch the I found a treasure patch video. You can witness a strong swell pushing items onto the shore.

    How do you clean the corrosion off the change? Do they always add sand to the beach?

  • @funwithjim

    @funwithjim

    Жыл бұрын

    Sand is always moving around due to currents, only a few beaches have to add sand. I tumble my coins clean using toilet cleaner and stainless steel jewelry cleaning media.

    I promise there will be lots of targets left, I did only a small section of Cottons and 1/2 of uppers. That beach you can hit every day this time of year and it will be target rich. Thank you!

    Hi everyone, I recently began metal detecting and am still learning qiite a bit. I've already found some clad coins and a lot of metal trash at a few local parks where I've practiced hunting, so that proves that I can find targets with my detector...but my few beach hunts so far haven't yielded much treasure at all. I wonder if maybe I've only found the little that was there to find when I went to the beach...but what if instead my particular detector doesn't work well at the beach, or maybe I just need to use different settings at the beach? Has anyone on this group used a Minelab E-Trac at the beach, and if so, do you have suggestions for setting it up for optimal results hunting at the beach for newbies like me?

  • @funwithjim

    @funwithjim

    3 жыл бұрын

    Minelab E-Trac uses FBS technology, it works great on the beach, it has the same tech as the CTX 3030 and they both are great for the beach. I am no expert since I have not used the E-Trac but I know several who have and they have had great success. Might be settings, so while at the beach, bring some test items and bury at different levels, make any necessary setting adjustments then, that is the best way to learn your machine anyways. Good Luck and I hope you find a lot of good stuff!

    Why are the pool noodles on the scoop?

  • @funwithjim

    @funwithjim

    3 жыл бұрын

    Pool noodles are to protect my hands and feet from hitting the CKG Tank Scoop's top and u-bolt ends. I like to flip up my scoop and normally use duct tape but found the pool noodle to be more comfortable. Sadly pool noodle colors are the only major set back, Pink, Purple and Orange is all they had at the .99 cent store. Lol! Thank you! 👍😎

    Is this beach require a parking ticket, Jim?

  • @funwithjim

    @funwithjim

    3 жыл бұрын

    NO, but it is quite a long hike from parking area at cross streets of Cristianatos and El Camino Real to the beach. If really busy; there is a paid parking are near the Carl's Jr.. Make sure to use google maps satellite to map the walk into the beach. Thank you!
