Metal Detecting finds 5 Rings & Coins | San Clemente Beach
Join me as I metal detect San Clemente State Beach, this is the second video I made on the same day. In this video I find 5 more rings and a few more coins. Treasure Hunting for gold and silver using a Minelab Equinox 800.
I would like to thank the CKG Scoop company for providing me with such an awesome beach scoop. I was really missing Old Rusty and to have something almost identical is like having my old friend and gold magnet back.

Hi Jim, hope you are well. One of the things that I used to say is "Spirits of yesteryear, take me to where the gold appears!" The first time I said it, I found a ladies 9ct gold ring with diamonds and blue topaz.

I don't think anything large will last in the Rocks at San Clemente, Some times I find old gold rings that look like smash nuggets of gold there. Lol! Thank you!

Good Morning! I love Nova Scotia, Lunenburg is one of my favorite little towns. 👍👍😎

That is a smart plan, FYI - there are many times, that I have marked a great area because I had to leave. Many of times I don't go back until weeks later and everything has changed again. Thank you!

Metal detecting Monday afternoon at the campground I was at and near the fire pit I had a 27 to 31 hit I couldn't quite locate, so I turned 90° and it only rang up 23 to 25. Almost didn't dig it. Turned over a 3 inch plug and in the bottom of the plug I could see a quarter. Picked it out and there was another one under it. Ended up with 2 quarters, 2 dimes and 2 nickels all clumped together. I thought it was a globurite.

We love those coin spills, Keep it up! 👍😎
Someone told me or I read that what you call coleslaw, is metal chunks the builders use to fill in an area when they are first building the land. They use sand, dirt, rocks, your metal coleslaw. And too it's a way to dump mass amounts of it and get away with it. I think it was (Boni treasures)
@funwithjim

We do not call metal chunks coleslaw we call it canslaw or just slaw at times. Most slaw were originally aluminum cans and the metal sound very good under the sand.
All of the nuggets is melted aluminum can that I've found so many of them over there! I was wondering why a lot of them can be found just up there!

I would love to know why my self, I do know that a good ground swell at San Clemente can push a ton of those Aluminum nuggets all over the beach.
Someone had a long day on the beach.. I bet you walked close to 10 miles.. I had a day 5 rings and all were junkers. But at you got out and go digging..

I thought there were no “private” beaches on our coast.

Emerald bay in Laguna is the only real private beach, in San Clemente that HOA maintains that one little section of San Clemente State Beach but they cannot exclude people who want to enjoy that area of the beach. Thank you!
HI Jim. I love your videos. Have a Question for you again. i live in a small town in northern ca called Knights landing. population less than 1000.I live on a ranch that has been here for many many years and it has been used to rent land for cows and the house was built here. I am digging up old rail road spikes and old large pieces of pipes. What do you do with your old pieces of scrap metal? toss it or do you take it someplace where someone buys it? Just medal stuff. No copper or anything special. Thank You
@funwithjim
2 жыл бұрын
Rail spikes can be collectable, so I would bundle the spikes and sell on ebay. Iron pipe is trash because recycling requires at least a ton 2000lbs of it.
Jim, I have to ask you a question, and a favor, 1. do you use the factory setting on your Nox? 2. Is there any way you can put a video of how to set up the Nox, I'm a beginner, and need some help. I need to find some of those rings, any kind is find with me. GL&HH
@funwithjim
3 жыл бұрын
I have adjusted setting based on each beach I hunt, but Factory Beach 1 is what I start with in the dry sand on every new beach. In the beginning use factory settings, I will post of video on how to set up on any beach. 👍👍😎
You dig every signal so would a pi machine work just as well on the beach?
@funwithjim
Жыл бұрын
Yes and No, theoretically yes but I like the target id and the different tones while the PI is more about pitch than tone. For instance I can determine with about 90% accuracy a tent stake with the nox and with a Pi it all sound the same.
