omgosh 😁 I have to say my nurse came up to me to make sure I was ok. she said I was just sitting there with my mouth hanging open until I just broke out laughing. I live in a nursing home in Charleston SC now ever since I got sick. I used to scuba dive and I had a Garret underwater unit. At the time I was living in Michigan, lots of iron in the area. anyway that was so much fun to watch. thank u so much, untill I started reading other peoples response to your find. I have been blessed with the love of people and when I see and hear things like yours it makes me feel what u were feeling , joy and amazing laughter. Try not to let the haters get u down. I'm signing up to watch more of your great finds. please keep the vids going.☺

when i was 12 my dad says walkie talkies or metal detector,i chose the detector,the more you look the more you find,elementary,you looked, you found,nice find,there is no telling whats buried under our feet,i really like this hobby

yeah, I think we would have had to be professional actors and put a lot of work into setting this up. lol I've seen fake videos and you can really tell they are fake! This is real emotions and reactions, real enthusiasm and a real as it gets find. people read too far into things because it's hard to believe.

I'm from New England too and this has definitely given me more ambition, congrats that is one hell of a find great job. As a collector I gotta ask if you haven't checked all the mint marks and for key dates I would take the time to do so. I found a extremely warn 1893 Barber half in New Hampshire that was incredibly warn, come to find out it had a S mint mark and its worth around $160! Lesson learned, I went back to my other coins (mostly 1900s-1960s) and found more value than just the silver, good way to keep busy with all this snow and until silver goes back up. I was also curious if you found any old or good condition coins in that clad pile? Thanks for sharing this!

Thank you very much! that is quite a compliment. I just feel so lucky to have come across it, although I did have to dig it and not give up on it. I know Ray and Don both were extremely happy just to be there witnessing it. I have seen videos on here that I have said the same thing about, and now I finally got to have one of my own. I am so thankful and grateful to have my own lifetime find on video, and i'm also grateful to have followers like you. Thanks again!

did you ever think of how old they would be? if someone was lets say 40 when they buried it, they would be 88 right now. most people couldn't even dig a hole at 88. if they hadn't recovered it by now, they aren't going to. that's almost 50 years bro

Actually it does not surprise me that much. I am 60 years old and I knew people who's family lost a lot of money in the great depression (bank failures). My uncle who has been dead for decades used to keep his entire life savings in his house......and it must have been a lot of money because he had a very good job and was a real penny pinching skin flint.

how much was it all worth?

I worked on pinball machines and one time I found a bunch of silver quarters piled up in the cash box. Some kid found his Dads collection. I replaced them with newer ones, and fixed the game. It was nothing like this, but sometimes I dream about I find a bunch again. Dream big, Dude.

I've been metal detecting for a year and have only found a single silver coin, this is epic find.

As an old man, you should bury it all in a remote location, add a note and a video disk of this video and pass on to some future generation another "find of a lifetime" This was a GREAT video! I had goose bumps sharing your excitement!

Wow... I was an avid metal detectorist when i was living in the states. Now I'm teaching English in Indonesia, so I get my fix from vids like this. I am sooooo happy for you man... I would have been dancing like crazy. Only downside is, now everybody's going to get a metal detector. Congratulations and keep up the good hunt.

I bought my first home with my penny find plus cash left over. I actually believe the jar was a flower jar. It had air seal locks. This is once in a lifetime finds.

I really love this find. You are right it's not the money it the find. That is a once in a lifetime find for sure. Some people hunt a life time and never find that much money. I had just bought a new White’s XTL Spectrum detector in 1999. In October of 2000 I was in an automobile accident that left me paralyzed from the waist down. Put a stop to my metal detecting. That was my second detector. I was going to retire early and enjoy life and doing a lot of metal detecting. So now I just watch you guys hunt on video. Seeing you find that jug on money made my day. Thanks for sharing.

Wow, and you just mad my day with that comment. That really made me think. My buddy Ray and I are always talking about how we hope nothing ever happened to us where we wouldn't be able to detect. We really take what we have for granted and at any moment it can be gone. I know it's no where near as good as being out there, but hope I can find a lot more stuff you would really enjoy watching. Sir i to am partially paralized from the waist down...i never detected before i was injured. But i roll to where i think is a good spot and detect away. I bet if you learned to balance in your chair,you could detect. Good luck!

Sorry if too many posts. But keep an eye out for my next "win or whine" video episode I'm going to make soon. I tied my best find (hunting 1,000 piece bullion lots of mercury dimes) Every now and again I do it as a silver investment when I like the price, and make some sets to resell. Every now and again I get a really good batch that puts me over the top right away. And this was one of them!
