Hello fellow metal detectors, I have a rookie mistake that I'm embarrassed about. I got all geared up with my new equipment, arrived at the site to explore. As I was detecting, I kept getting pings often. I dug many holes and found nothing, until I stood up and my detector touched my shoe and went off loudly. I then realized, I put on my steel toed shoes! What an idiot I am! Note to self, "If the shoes I put on are unusually heavy, they are STEEL TOE!" Please forgive me, people! Namaste.

WOW!!! The beach is wild today! I've got to say though, For a beautiful Lady, you have the most beautiful laugh I've ever heard! No disrespect of course but your laugh is part of why I love watching your videos Mish!! Keep up the cute laughs and your sure to find great treasures!

wow Mish, You can start a line of high fashion scuba diving jewelry! Lead necklaces, bracelets, rings...all in stead of those bulky weight belts! : ) Great to see you out again. I drove back down to the coast last week thinking I would go detecting on the party beach a while...then a friend sent me a picture of a tree on her house and I have spent the week removing the tree and four other dead ones that were close to her house. I got chigger bites, poison ivy, hornet stings and I even got struck by a copperhead snake. the snake did not get any fangs into me because I wear thick protective chainsaw pants and steel toe boots. Maybe today, if I do not have anything else come up, I can go detecting. Thanks for the video, George.

Hello Mish, Of course the first target had to be a sinker, It proved this is authentic Mish detecting! and it was great to see you playing in the sand again, and it was a good hunt to boot! The tapered plate with the hole at the end may have been a feeler gauge for setting points or sparkplug gaps! Very happy to see you back, but will be much happier when you return on a regular basis. I would have been here earlier but was sadly distracted by the passing of Queen Elizabeth, RIP, Thanks for bringing a bit of brightness to the day! Cheers Mish!

The mystery item with the hole turned out to be a component of a fishing reel, which makes a whole lot of sense to me!! It felt SO good to be back out there with some sun on my skin, even if the poor old legs regretted the soft sand trudging for a few days afterwards. 😂 Yes the news of the Queen was a shock, expected but unexpected if you know what I mean. It’s incredible as to just how many changes need to occur as a result of the change of monarch as well. End of an era. Cheers mate 😁

@@DirtFishMish Well that shows what I know, didn't even think of a fishing reel, heard you say it had the number 40 was on it, thought boat motors, put 2+2 together and got 5. You would think with all that lugging boxes around your legs would be prepared for the beach, not so much! Huh!... When I was at school, primary and high, The Monday morning ritual was singing god save the Queen, I doubt thats been done for a long time now! Along with my mom who was 3 yrs older, I thought she was beautiful, and along with my parents she has become a memory of what was, and is no more. The new King has a lot to live up to, and less time to do it. Indeed the End of an era. All the best Mish!

Hey, Mish! Great to see you out and hunting again! And of course, the typical hunt happenings happened - first find is a sinker, a Florin, a mystery item, "last target" and the "watching the world go by" segment (my favorite). Everything may not be completely back to normal yet, but it's like you never left with all the normal stuff still happening. Loved it. One thing I really enjoyed in this video that I had not seen before was the transition you showed from the old coin to the new coin at 26:48. That was beautifully done and really helped outline the minute details that would otherwise go unnoticed by viewers who can't do a side-by-side inspection. One more thing. Not to get political or stir up controversy, and regardless of how some viewers may feel about the British monarchy, Queen Elizabeth was a kind and compassionate woman who worked hard for and really cared for her people. So that being said, for you to find a 1956 Florin with her image on it, and coincidentally having that posted on the day of her passing, was a nice way of remembering her and how long she served her country - since 1952. Anyway, as always, looking forward to your next adventure! Later, friend!

It was quite the surprise to wake up to the passing of the Queen, she passed at around 3:30am our time. Something we all knew was coming yet it was hard to comprehend the monumental changes that occur as a result of her passing. Our currency will be slowly phased across, so I expect we will have a mix of monarchs in our coins for quite some years to come. Cheers mate 😊

Just subbed. I'm located in Memphis,TN and LOVE to metal detect. My channel isn't near as large as yours but we have fun. Going tomorrow just down the road. Love Australia too. Went in 2007 and fell in love with the place and those meat pies!! And something called....snot block.. lol. Not a vegemite fan though. lol Don't get many opportunities to hunt near large bodies of water unless I use the local river but it's not easy to get to really. The area you're hunting reminds me of the rocks at or near Apollo Bay. My friends in Melbourne took me down there and I remember the Otway National Park too. Those 1/2 pennies are HUGE!!

Howdy Mish, Loved the shot of the breakers rolling in through the rocks and that very pretty seashell. I was out detecting a new park last week. It wasn't very productive. The coins were few and far between and the pull tabs numerous. I did find a big old sinker though and immediately thought of you. It's good to have you back. Congrats on the silvers. Those turban shells are actually super common here, it was only when my KZread friend Nora Svet found one and was fascinated with it that I realised they weren’t as common elsewhere! Glad I came to mind when you found a sinker. 😂😂 Cheers mate. 😊

Wow Mish you were "Gone " for so long I thought the Algorithms had dropped your show, but found you in my subscriptions . What a great day, I could not believe how many nice finds you had, like the universe was saving hem up for you because you were busy moving. I know about the with drawl pains when you can't get out to detect, in August I caught the co bug and was shut in for 3 weeks then ,did maybe 30 min of detecting and then hurt my leg , ripped the calve muscle bad , shut in again, in a cast can't walk now for 2 weeks. so glad to see you out and about congrats on the finds you lucky girl you. I wouldn’t be surprised if it happens, especially if near a military area (I’ve had a few folks mention they’ve found them over there in old camps/training bases). 😁

G'day Mish, how you doing? Another great hunt with the oldies, shame some are roached out, that ocean can be devastating on the old coins. Been a bit quiet myself, Been a bit crook with this flu thing (not Co-vid) and now have this constant tickle in the back of my throat and no energy.
