Your number one is KISS’s best song that nobody (other than real KISS fans) knows about. I thought “The Oath” would make the list. The best bass line of any KISS song has to be “Torpedo Girl” off Unmasked.

KISS was like the advent of electricity. They changed everything. Afterwards, lots of bands attempted to emulate them. With no internet, they still exploded. There's no parallel example nowadays, it was a phenomenon. The only thing they weren't on was Sesame Street!

The "Sound" of Kiss guitars! Listening to alive years later and it's the sound of their unfiltered raw distortion that lights up the room.⚡. Marshall amps turned to 10 in contrast to the softer sound textures of the times. I feel like it was the sound of the electricity in their riffs itself that inspired them to look like that raw electricity and cosmic phenomenon. People focus on their looks, but it was the sheer brilliance of the sound! Ace has an approach to guitar solos that blows your mind! Paul Stanley's solo album was my first record in 1979. His voice is the soul of rock and roll for Me! Glad I saw them in 2014, perfect! Gene on Bass and Peter on Drums, that's the real thrill, the 1977 concert film , that's the look! 🤩

It would have been really interesting to see what would have happened if he had played around with way more trippy sound effects during his carrier, making Ace more "Spacey"

Rocket ride, and Shock me were the best songs Ace performed as Kiss "corporation" songs. Aces solo album was full of hits. Ace and Peter Criss were the rockers in Kiss, when Ace left or was fired? he took all the magic with him. I remember Ace in a good way, hopefully their is another reunion of Kiss. Ace needs to decline the invitation, no need to see him thrown under the bus another time.

It's sad that so many people disparage Kiss just because they aren't virtuoso musicians. Now, it's true that they are far from being virtuosos, but the thing is: _you don't have to be a virtuoso to create great music._ How I would have loved to have an iota of their creativity to come up with such great riffs (I'm a professional bass player). I stopped being a die-hard fan many years ago (still love them and have their entire official discography minus unnecessary compilations), but they were a true (and the biggest) obsession for me during the first half of my adolescence. After 40+ years, "Alive!" is still one of my top two live rock albums. Words aren't enough to describe what I felt the first time I heard it.

Look at the cast of virtuosos out there. They don't usually make catchy riffs. They make music to complicated for mass appeal. That's cool but music you can hum and sing along to with a catchy chorus is what people gravitate towards. Kiss had really catchy songs and they aren't overly complicated.....and they are fun which you get zero of these days aside from Steel Panther....who are awesome by the way.

Bro, I'm from wagon-wheel, boot-scootin, podunk HEE-HAW LAND!(Nashville)😅 Am 51, & proud to say, I actually fell in love with Kiss' music before really seeing them in late '70's! Had gotten into my mom's Beatles collection, which unfortunately abruptly ended with Help!, since got married & had my older sis. My dad knew I liked them & came home 1 day & said he had somebody give him an 8-Track at work, he listened to it on way home, didn't like, said I could have & handed me a copy of Love Gun. So I of course saw the cover, but just thought was cool album art. The heaviest thing I'd ever heard at that point was the song Help!. So when popped in 8-Track, I Stole Your Love was like hearing Slayer Reign In Blood when came out! It's a trip to think I would've been 6 yro, but had to be when came out, cause remember getting parents to buy me Dynasty when came out & wanted to go see them, but folks said was sold-out. Peter was my fave at time & I remember when announced in paper had the pic with monkey heads on his shouders. I'm sure it sold-out, but I tend to think they just told me that cause didn't wanna take me. Clips from Sunday newspaper should still be in the attic somewhere? Should also be clips, which prob be worth some money (actually may very well be archived on-line from The Tennessean these days?), when finally got to see them the 1st time Creatures tour '83 announcing the Sunday before show that Ace had left the band & been replaced by a one, "Vinnie Whiz"! Rock On, hillbilly mofos! 🤟😝❤

Your Welcome👍 No BS either!! I am pretty sick they just found a big tumor in my kidney. I’ve been losing 2-4 units of blood a week. I have been taking my headphones and rocking to your channel. While getting transfusions. Your riffs are so many of my favorites it’s crazy.

People avoid I Stole Your Love as it's an 'interpretation' of the Burn 🔥 riff by virtuoso Deep Purple & Rainbow guitarist Ritchie Blackmore. I love them both. Burn by Blackmore is considered THE best ever rocknrroll riff. Check out the live version at the '74 California Jam. Masterpiece! 👌

Rip it out was definitely the best song out of any solo album IMO. One of my favorite songs to play on guitar as well 🤘🤘 however as far as the 80s go, a million to one, is one of my favorites as well.
