Metal Church - Metal Church live 1983

Музыка

Being the singer of Metal Church from 1984 to 1989, he appeared in a total of four albums by them. He was influenced by singers like Rob Halford and has influenced singers like James Hetfield. Perhaps his most famous tune, "Watch The Children Pray", is one of the more well known songs by Metal Church, showcasing a vocalist at the limits of his power and range.
When he left the band in 1989, He formed Reverend, which remained active until his death. His legacy as a vocalist is captured in Metal Church's only live album, Live.
He also started a band called Wayne (or David Wayne's Metal Church) after leaving Metal Church.
He died on May 9, 2005 from complications following a car crash. Before joining Metal Church, Wayne was a US Army field medic

    One of the best debut metal albums of all time IMHO. My wife and I still jam to this album to this day, it was one of the tapes we listened to the first night we spent together. Gotta love a woman who knows her Metal Church lyrics. :-)

    This is priceless! Dave was a friend of mine, and was a genuinely great person. He would come and sing Zep covers with my band at various rock bars in the Seattle area back in the day just for kicks and chicks. People would shit when they would figure out who he was, and there he is singing Zep covers like no tomorrow. He also could do a fantastic version of Dio's "Last in Line",..RIP Dave, keep the stage warm til the rest of us get there!

    Ha! Blows me away I was at this show. Metal Church and Accept. Rainbow music hall. Was always standing room only. We used to get so hammered standing on the side of the building waiting to get in. Now it's a Walgreens.

    I remember the first time I heard this track. I was driving down the road playing a cassette a mate of mine had just copied for me, and he wanted my opinion on this new band called Metal Church. Beyond the Black the opening track had just finished and I was impressed, but then Metal Church kicked in. I was blown away. I kept rewinding to blast this track out. This was metal as it should be, this was 84'. We remain Metal, Thanks David Wayne. R.I.P.

If you back in time you have project in the jungle , the chugg on Onward we rock and A song like Vallalah could be on CFH easy Just imagine Phil on it its the same .

    wonder why Exhorder is not famous. probably they had the sound but not the talent and the songs that Pantera had. its one thing to rip off a band songs and another to develop a bands sound.

  • @Vorph
    @Vorph15 жыл бұрын

    Pantera's songwriting is 10 times worse than Exhorder's. The only reason why Pantera became famous is because they marketed their music for frustrated American teenagers. They just stupified Exhorder's music. WHAT A TALENT THAT REQUIRES.
