Ehh, disagree. If he says his views and opinions are truly his own, AND he IS trustworthy, there shouldn’t be a problem with it. There is an issue when other tubers give fake positive reviews though. I trust @ETAPrime and @RetroGameCorps… Other people? I can share your sentiment of lack of trust…

​ @tonezilla Mentioning what you like, can be your honest opinion. Omitting what you don't like, is also technically honest: "I didn't lie, I just omitted the truth". A manufacturer would never approve a sponsored video if they didn't think it would work as an ad for them, that's why they pay for it. Even if there is no malice in this review here, its still a bad look. Was etaprime out of sponsors or was meta out of paid influencers that will do an ad for them? In my comment I said don't normalize this please and look its working! You are actually trying to defend a paid "review" that has no reason to exist as paid.

This isn’t even a review… it’s just frickin unboxing and saying what Meta wants. Really listen to the content. Literally does not say one we did not already know and hear from Meta before it was released

I got the Quest 3 day one and now modified it with the Bobofit strap and batteries. The color passthrough is amazing. I can put it on for hours, playing, snacking, and drinking while swapping battery packs. Finished Half Life Alyx last night and capped off the evening with Cities VR. Easily my favorite console. This week I'll finish installing Virtual Boy emulation, Doom 3, and Half Life 1 as I had on my Quest 2 and Frankenquest 1 before that.

My quest 2 broke about 6 days ago and ive been thinking if i spend more on the quest 3 and by watching this video ive made the choice to get quest 3 My thoughts on review: Very easy to understand, goes in-depth and even shows the upgrade comparison on screen whilst saying the upgrades and talking about them 10/10

There's hasn't been a huge amount of games making use of the Quest 3's better horsepower yet, but games like Demeo and Red Matter 2 look absolutelty incredible and show a really exciting future when Quest 3 support floods the online store! My personal favourite games are Wooorld and Walkabout Minigolf!

I've been much more into VR games lately thanks to the Quest 3 and Into the Radius looks amazing on the Quest 3 standalone. Much more like a PCVR game but I agree we need more Quest 3 updates. I finally finished Iron Man VR because of the automatic resolution upgrade. It was fun.

It's gonna be a while before we get games that make full use of the Quest 3, it takes months to make games and I imagine even longer for VR games considering the range of interactivity expected from such tittles, come February next year is when I imagine we'll get announcements for up coming projects.

You should test out the performance with VR desktop and Steam VR. That's my #1 concern with any new mini PC you review. What's the VR Performance like? 😬

Dont know why but I get nostalgic flashbacks to the 3DS AR games from these mixed reality games

No dead/stuck pixels or other display defects? I don't put much stock in reports of individual faulty units, since that's just anecdotal. The reports of people returning multiple units with display defects concerns me in regards to the quality control. Weight difference to the Quest 2 is supposed to be less than half an ounce by the way, and all in the strap and adjustable facial interface. Despite the larger battery.

I had the Quest 3 for about 2 weeks now and it's revitalized my interest in VR. I use a Valve Index daily with full body tracking for VRChat but I don't play many other games often but I did pick up the Quest 3 and have been enjoying it a ton. The controllers using the new haptics feedback similar to the PS5 controller is awesome and more immersive. The star is the new lens display system so everything looks much more clear and incredibly sharp. Comfort is subjective, it's probably fine for most at 1-2 hour sessions but you should get a 3rd party strap. Stand alone games look MUCH better even ones that weren't updated look a lot sharper. Everything looks and feels faster thanks to that brand new top of the line mobile chip. Unlike previous Quest processors , this one is literally the best available that's not an made by Apple. Mixed reality games seemed like a gimmick but I've been having a lot of fun with it. It feels new, fresh and fun, it's especially good for people like me that don't have a large unobstructed space to play VR in. There's so much to say about it. it's not perfect but no headset currently is. I can say it's an excellent value and worth it.

What's the lens size and the eye space size? The quest 2 is a face hugger and I still use my Odyssey plus because it's significantly bigger. and yes I bought the larger face pad for the quest. Still a face hugger.

I have one and it's a huge improvement on the Q2. I think the Q2 was just too budget conscious and too many compromises were made.

Just bought one got the 512gb with a free game. It is awesome

How long does the battery last during a long gaming session?

dang, we grow up with the SNES, PS1/2 and now our kids will grow up with this kind of platform. Crazy what 30 years can do for gaming...

Great piece of kit dont regret getting mine just wish i could have got my hands on a 512 but hey i will just swap my games out.

1:58 It weighs a few ounces more than the Quest 2 but it's balanced better? It still all seems to be in the front of the headset. How much difference could there be even at 40% thinner, weight is weight?

since you talk about SBC, you might be the right person to talk about using Quest 3 as a portable workstation. most gaming channels dont discus about niche usecases like this. can you talk about things like screen door effect, apparent resolution which some say is comparable to a 1080p or a 720p resolution and a TN monitor's colors. how's the eyestrain, readability, etc. maybe sideloading some android browsers and use it as a standalone workstation with a keyboard and a mouse, or use it for virtual desktops of a PC over LAN

I wish I used my quest 2 enough to warrant me upgrading, but I don't. I always have a blast when I play vr but never get around to it

@@GirlOnAQuest that depends on the thing they are running. beat saber is very different from half life alyx, which are both very different from big screen or just vr videos. theres people who have ran vr on mini pcs and ryzen 7000 series handhelds

Well, Portable x86/x64 Handhelds and VR Devices have just started to have a stable and good performance on their own. Doing it before with those Mini PC's or Laptops wouldn't really have given a good performance.

Playing sideloaded games on this thing is wild! My new nacon telescopic cobtroller for andoid is now obsolete adter 1 use lol

@@mcgritty8842 not just 3d, but also volumetric video. Apple are filming the new Godzilla series with this tech in mind for their headset. They are also launching a first ever 4k 3d film (previously limited to 1080) with Avatar 2 on their headset. The next few iterations of these will be game changing.

I don’t know anything about these VR headsets so will be my first one. I’m located in Australia. I read you need to have Facebook to be able to use this head set ?? Also do you need a laptop to be able to use this like other VR units. I don’t have face book or a laptop. Do you think this unit will be suitable. I’d prefer to buy a good Quilty unit even though it will be my first one I don’t mind spending the dollars on a good unit not some cheap rubbish. Thank you

Does this work with steam games?

I appreciate the video but this didn't really help much. With all the rave it doesn't seem like it stacks up against wired VR headsets. I guess there there's really no replacement yet that matches wired quality experience.

The mixed reality "games" are really just tech demos. There aren't any Quest 3 exclusives at launch which is sad.

My apologies if I missed it but the price would have been great

augmented reality will be the greatest thing to happen to computer science since Internet. AI will beat it but the history of technology will have a definite Internet->AR->AI segment in the timelines.

It REALLY depends on what you played on, if you have not used the later gadgets, you could be missing out. With tracking being "inside out" vs external cameras like the older vr, vr sickness is pretty much limited to the game vs the entire experience as soon as you put it on. Driving in a car in vr is a lot different than "running" in a virtual game, everyone has their limits, even us vets have that game or two that induces motion sickness even with 7 years of vr.

When I got my meta quest 3 the straps really pressed against my head and hurt anyone know anyway to prevent this?

"Hey guys, I worked so hard to buy the new VR headset!" Sweet, what games do you play? "Oh man, I've been playing job simulator. It's so much fun!" Lmao 😂

Wario and Red Alarm are great on the Quest. Controller could be better but the VB had a unique design.

I just bought my Quest 3 acouple of days ago and I've used it everyday since I bought it I use it more than my Playstation VR 2 but I don't think it's better at VR gaming but I do play alot of Mixed Reality games on my Quest 3 and I use it to watch TV shows, movies and I also use it as a monitor for my my Macbook Pro but my only 2 gripes are it takes time to switch from hand tracking to the controllers and vice versa and the battery life is only just over an hour of usage but other than that I really like it especially the mixed reality apps

May not be better than the PSVR2 overall, but the psvr has a very limited library compared to what Steam has to offer.

With my quest 2 experience I had I think I'll hold off until the Deckard comes out. I bought the quest 2 because of all the glowing reviews, used it for maybe 20 hours, gave up and on VR, got a Valve Index and now love VR now. I think the problem with meta is they are focused on the 'race to the bottom' thinking that is a better strategy then making something great. Valve is focusing on the platform and holding off on the hardware until it's ready and it aint going to be cheap, I'm alright paying 1 or 2 thousand dollars for a better experience. Paying a quarter of that just to have something made by fisher price and a UI made by leappad just isn't what I want.

The UI is fine... Also how is the hardware fisherprice-eske? It's not super fancy material but it doesn't feel cheap, it's also significantly more durable than the valve index, my buddies index has had multiple broken controllers and his wires broke twice. Quest 3 is better than the index in almost every way lol

Main reason i got rid of the meta quest 2 is because it was so locked down from a software aspect .. If you are bot willing to jailbreak the f out of it it's pointless and has no real use.

I miss what oculus used to be. This whole business aspect Facebook login is BS I hope they got rid of it. Besides this what good vr headsets are good for gaming on PC?

The quest 3 really gets me excited about the work I can do with it, changing environment while working, having several screens, I'll save some money, so I can buy one. I genuinely think I can be more productive with it!

Meta made the quest to the age 10 and above so that more can explore vr ,blud think about it we got newborns with iphone 15z so like ion see a difference 😂😂😂

I have the Quest 2 and I thought it worked really well compared to the Oculus Rift. I'm at the point now where I'm going to skip a generation and purchase the Quest 4. Think this will blow my mind compared to the Quest 2. Don't get me wrong the Quest 3 looks really good, but I'm betting that the next generation will even better.

You say in the beginning of your video that the age is 13+. The actual age is 10+.

Meta Quest 3 > PSVR2 anydays ❤❤❤. But VR in general not so hot gaming device. Only enthusiasts gamers purchase VR, not casual gamers, so can't sell many

Nice but still overpriced and for me, there is no way anything with a connection to Zuckerberg will ever get a penny of my money.

No doubt quest 3 is the best.. But next year will be solid Apple vision pro.. and cant wait to see traditional rival between samsung and apple in VR space.

Why does everybody demo the same game? Is it some kind of stipulation from meta?

Thought VR died a few years back now.
