Such a moving composition. One of my favorites. Thank you for posting! Mozart was brilliant.
I've come back to this many times -- whenever I need to be reminded of the Sublime. I am always amazed that this music did not exist before Mozart brought it into the world. Without him we would not have it.
As a huge Nathan Hughes fan, this was an absolute pleasure to watch. I love the Met Orchestra!
So glad to hear the Gran Partita for the first time in its entirety played by such accomplished musicians. What a treat for my ears/soul. Happy and peaceful 2023 to all!! 🥰❤
I never tire of this piece, and love to hear the effortlessly musical virtuosity of this group!
What absolutely GORGEOUS playing! You were *ALL* so in sync as ONE. But when your Adagio movement began at 18:02... it was breath-taking. Just moments into it I literally felt my heart split wide open w/ love & wet eyes here. I am still in awe. THANK YOU ALL FOR WORKING SO HARD to bring us such great music. I'm saving this for myself. I send you all my very best wishes for always & all ways. Much love & appreciation, Marsha (oboe) 🤗x1,000,000 💋💋💋
Really terrific. Something not heard often and rarely by such awesome musicians. Thanks for such a wonder.
18:03 simply breathtakng beginning... Amazing...
a really really wonderful performance of all jewels and a gems masterpiece.
Thank you so much for sharing! I hope to hear more from the fabulous MET Musicians on this channel.
Wow, absolutely sublime. Bravo to all!! Absolutely exquisite playing.👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
For the last 30-40 years, since about the time "Amadeus" was in theaters, I had recording of this by the Netherlands Wind Ensemble (Edo de Waart etc) and this is so overwhelmingly - I hate to say better, but must at least say just as good and at least as emotionally moving as what I know so well.
18:30 Salieri is impressed by the single note 😊😊

Pure Gold!
Fabulous!
Great job! 👏🏻
Adagio goosebumps.
A work of a music genius played by true masters. Enjoyed! Thank you! BTW, notice the 2nd clarinet about 39' onwards... great lightness and intonation.
Bravíssimo!
👏
Gorgeous, thank you, no need for a conductor as these top players show so clearly. Shame the horns are out of sight!
For an interesting comparison in Mozart style compare to the NY Philomusica recording, c. 1973.
Leave me alone
Nathan you have a very antiseptic and un-singing style. You also play with too much vibrato. Understand why they didn’t hire you in Philly.

I'm sorry they didn't hire you in Philly either.
