The best thing I ever did was at a young age teach my children how to make their beds and put their dirty clothes in a hamper. My daughter has Down syndrome and has been making her bed, keeping her room neat and putting her clothes away since she was four years old. Just a suggestion to help you out.❤️

Loretta I am with you. Two girls with ADHD sharing one room. All the bed making in the world won’t prevent the catastrophe of turning a blind eye for 30 minutes to catch a rest, knowing full well there will be a disaster waiting me in the bedroom. Worth it for a cup of tea though!

consider toy rotation if you struggle to get rid of toys. Kids don t need to have ALL the toys out all-the-time: it is so overwhelming for them as well as for us to see huge baskets full. You did amazing deep cleaning here! Waiting for the new room you planned for them.

I believe kids are mini adults and can feel overwhelmed like we do Take at least 3\4 of that stuff and store it. Rotate it out every 6 months if they don't miss it donate to the place who gives to poor children who don't have any toys Maybe you can involve the children to donate teaching them there's many who don't have anything. Just an idea 💡 keep on going I'm so proud of you. Great job!!!

I am I was a hording show I had so much loss in my life from rape to losing my 18 yr old son to suicide and my brother being murdered I stopped living! Stopped caring and stoped cleaning I wanted to not be here anymore! Then one day I was sitting on a bench and a old lady came up to me and prayed for me I looked around didn't see anyone! I was going to go into the river to end my pain! God had other plans I felt this peace swoop over me and I felt better decided to go home and try I managed after 6 months to get my life back on track ! I cleaned decluttered moved toxic people out even family and lost over 80 lbs became healthy mentally physically and emotionally 🙏 you are an inspiration to others thank you 💕 keep going others need you! 🙏❤️ God bless you love from Canada ❤️ now work with homeless people and realized this was gods plan 🙏 t hanks for motivation your helping others

It hit me hard when you started talking about being lonely staying home with your kids. I felt that way a lot a few years ago because I stayed at home with my two kids and I just needed a convo with adults. It is a lot different than just interacting with your children. I got a gym membership with my cousin and even getting out for an hour every other day was such a nice feeling. Everyone needs that little “you” time. I know that helps with my depression and anxiety. ❤️ awesome job mama keep it up! Xoxo

Suggestion: I would make my kids clean up their room before bed EVERY night so that it never built up. This way it doesn’t all fall on you. I also taught them not to pull out new toys until they put away what they were finished with. It’s a lot of initial work on momma, but you are training them and it will pay off in the end.

Looking forward to the toy decluttering video. My girls play so much more and longer since we decluttered their toys. They are less overwhelmed by the options they have and the choices they have to make. Now they know where everything is and everything they have (and it's very limited) is their favorite. Kids deal with anxiety, too. But often they just don't know how to express it.

All these uploads, make me so happy! For years I was extremely depressed, days I could hardly get up and go to work let alone come home and clean. My Mom said you have absolutely everything you need or want start taking care of you and what you have clawed your way to have. I tackled my house one room, closet, cupboard and drawer at a time. I gave myself a week for each room, moving onto the next. I finally made it through everything. One car load at a time to Goodwill. Now I find cleaning to be relaxing and rewarding. I'm proud of you and what you have accomplished! And maybe someday you will find your relaxed as you clean. Have a blessed day all!

I too had to go through all the little stuff that I felt important I still struggle today in tackling cleaning because I’m a mover of stuff from one end to the other and dealing with the anxiety and depression it’s tuff to focus. God Bless you and your channel for your video has truly helped and inspired me to tackle stuff.

I might just have to watch this while I drink my nightly tea & sit with my kitties when everyone is asleep & hope for more energy & opportunity tomorrow! Haha little kids are such a handful.... love your videos!! They really encourage me!! Talking & music - either way I enjoy it bc I know I can do the same thing!! 😇

Just found your channel and started binge watching your videos! I feel like I’ve been on a 5 year journey to minimalism and with every kid you learn a new lesson. I might be at my healthiest point now. I’m at the point of being able to clean up quickly daily and even if depression gets on top of me it’s not as hard to pick myself back up again and get my house in order. My goal this year was to actually have a few empty draws/cabinets in my house 👏👏 it gives me such a peace of mind knowing I have the space but don’t need to fill it. Your doing SUCH AN AMAZING JOB!♥️ and all the questions your asking yourself with clutter is one’s I’ve asked over and over and will continue to ask it’s ok for things to leave your house slowly with real thought out behind it.

Thank you so much for this video. My daughters room was just as bad if not worse than this. Hardly anyone is honest about how truly messy their homes get, and it can be so damaging. Your video absolutely motivated me to get started on my daughter's room. I loved hearing you talk, it felt like I had a friend with me.

It’s important to set boundaries and have a few basic rules with children (and adults). You want them to have respect for people and for their own spaces. Daily routines help my children tremendously and they all now college students. Also, daily routines combat anxiety and depression. My husband worked on the road for 15 years and was gone weeks at a time. I know exactly what you’re talking about lonely motherhood. Hugs!!

Loving the music in this video! Stevie Nicks vibes ✌️ The room looks great! I always struggle with my kids' stuff. My 13 year old daughter declutters herself because she seems to like open spaces. I have to check her bags when she heads to the garage because she declutters everything, even stuff she shouldn't lol. I've learned less is more when it comes to kids stuff or they get overwhelmed. Especially clothes 🙄

I love the new sleeping arrangement for your girls! This definitely bonds them in this young age and these loving memories will be the glue for later. Also, the beds are lower to the floor, so it's easier for both of them to get in and get out. Teach them to tug the sheets strait in the morning. A small passage between the two mattresses will make it easier for them. You did a great job cleaning and organizing rooms. And don't worry, 3 bedrooms is plenty of space for a family with two kids.

Just an idea- you can have the kids bedroom split into 2 rooms and a small closet added to the one side that would be without. Dividing wall and cutting in a new door etc. A good handy man would be much less money than purchasing a new home. We're actually doing that right now. It's going to be really small rooms, but at least separate sleep spaces (which my kids really need 😬)

Going through all the little items is important. It’s worth money later. Especially if it goes to the Barbie house. My daughter is 26. Her Barbie house is worth $300 she has all the items. I never threw the stuff away. I reset the house. I put all the pieces in their spot. She loved it. Same with all her brat stuff and lil pet shop stuff. It’s all worth money now. So while it appears to be junk to us it’s something to them. This is awesome motivation and I enjoy your chat throughout the video. It makes me feel like I’m not alone with my feelings. Ty.

I love what you said about girls working with tools too! So glad to see you rolle modeling this! It makes me excited to watch. I love to build, had a dad who let me learn too. My grandfather lives far away or else I think he would’ve included me as well. I lost my dad this year and I find that when I’m working with tools, It makes me feel closer to him. I was given lots of space to be artistic and creative because my mom wished that she had always had that but lived in a strict household. And guess what? I grew up to be an artist and an art teacher for a living. You are such a good mom. I know your kids will appreciate it so much that you were doing this for them. And giving them the freedom to explore their creativity. I hope you will make yourself a table down there in the basement too. It’s never too late to start exploring your creativity. It is my way out of depression almost every time. Not a cure, but certainly a way to manage it in a way that nothing else can. This is a long comment, but I so relate to not be able to throw out even the tiniest bits of my sons artwork. I’ve been getting better about it, but truly the struggle IS real! Sorry to write so much this video just really got to me!

Invest in a floor squeegee! It’s seriously the BEST tool for those all-over messes and it’s perfect for getting those tiny toys out from underneath furniture. We use ours to sweep everything into a pile and our kids each grab a category of stuff to put away or throw away from the pile. So much easier than bending over 1000 times. 💕😋

I completely agree with the expressing creatively on their desk in their shared bedroom. Kids need a healthy outlet or when they finally get to express, it's not in a conducive way. I've seen my cousin rather couped up, and she finally expressed, but in a not good way. My aunt went thru some things and such is life. But it is what it is. I just want to share that I love hearing you speak. Your somewhat raspy voice is weirdly relaxing to me. 🥰🤷‍♀️. But I totally get the concept of adult talk and the like.
