Trust me, I used to feel that way too and then I just started playing and eventually figured it out! Always remember: it's only paper! You can start over. : )

Tim Holtz (via Tonic) sell great silicon mats that can be cleaned easily and rolled up for easy storage, one is plain silicon and the other is classed as a grip mat, both hold die cuts really well for gluing etc, I love the grip Mat when I a, colouring with alcohol markers as it holds pieces well and cleans so easily. Xx

Think of it as "loose" instead of messy. That's what we say in watercolor painting 😅

'drop and pop' technique. 😉

An iron works to dry and flatten ink-smooshed paper, too. More people own those than laminators, I think. Many of us use them more for crafting than clothing. 😉

Would you put a cloth over the paper? Or would you just go straight to the paper with the iron??

@@czdesign I'd probably iron directly on the back atop a heat-proof surface. I recall seeing Tim Holtz do a crumple and smoosh video a few years ago where he used the iron to flatten out the substrate, but I've forgotten the details.

Cathy have you tried spellbinders glitter foam? Cuts like butter and is already dimensional so doesn’t require stacking. It’s pretty cool

Hi, Cathy. Have you tried running warped paper through your die cutter? Works great for me. Just add shims as needed.

I run my warped card stock through my embossing machine & that works great too, so wouldn’t you get the same result running it through the fuse on’0’ no heat? I bet it would!
