Great set up ! They do make clear 90 degree fittings if you ever wanted more viewing in your tube system.

Youre videos are getting better and better. I just love watching them. Keep gooing

Just a useful tip. A paint brush with soft bristles comes in very handy in collecting escaped ants quickly and without any risk of crushing them.

@@AntsScandinavia Lol yeah I have three different size brushes now. The smallest I use for my Tetramorium caespitum and the largest for my Camponotus vagus colony. I even carry one with me when I go looking for queens. Whenever I'm touching ants with my hands I always feel like I'm going to crush them.

Sesame seeds they hate, and sun flower seeds. But else that I have tried they seem to like :)

I have recently noticed sometimes when my Camponotus pen start to get really old they kind of get dementia it seems. Always out of nest trying to climb constantly until they ultimately die off and are partially consumed by the colony. Nothing goes to waste with these girls

As always, awesome video! But please, never do the high pitched ant voice again xD I cringed myself out of the window... I think my M. barbarus colony has almost the excact size of yours and they really explode in population xD I have to make them a 30x30cm acrylic nest, the old one is already overcrowded ^^ So be prepared for a very crazy colony! I think you have to build them a new nest in just a few weeks ;)) Mhh... I'm hyped for the treasure hunt, but i alreday have enough nests and colonies xD Ok, im going to participate, but if i win you can give the price to someone else :)) Have a great day ^-°
