Even back in 2007, I would say Messi. I have watched CR7 since his Portugal days in Festival Espoirs de Toulon, Christiano never gave me the feelings that he could pass over Maradona or Pele one day, but Messi once did against Getafe CF in Campeonato de España. His ability to dribble, speed up and stop on a dime against any level of player is the most priceless skill talent in the football world.

I think it is Guardiola that said it, and he's right: Messi is the best number 10 the world has seen, but he's also the best number 11, 9, 7, 8, 5... you name it. Two things most footballers don't seem to think it is anything but magic about Messi: he runs FASTER with the ball than without it, and the ball is always right at his feet (that's why defenders have such a hard time getting the ball).
To say that Meesi is the best soccer player of all time is unfair. Messi is football, he constantly and dynamically redesigns this sport in which great players like Ronaldo or Modric play. Messi is a gift, not only for Argentines, but for all humanity.

To be honest Messi would never survive the tough times that people like the phenomena Ronaldo passed through. With more than three big injuries but still standing out with magical performance. So saying he is the best of all time is more than just being unfair

Your sample is biased and do not reflect the reality. You took players and coaches who may keep grievance or are jealous of Ronaldo such as Simeoni or Rooney. Players are but a portion of the large public whose opinion on the subject is worth as much if not more than those you have questionned.
