Messi's Best skill is not shooting or assist but its his vision and the awareness of the pitch. He didint even look up before giving that assist to Molina against Holland in World cup 22. How did he know that Molina is running in that direction and how the heck did he make that pin point accurate pass without looking at him. None's peripheral vision is that sharp. That is definitely not something that you can develop even with the hardwork. And that is the only reason why you cannot compare ANY footballer with him. he is way way above all of them.

I highly rate ozil has one of the best passers, but messi is the better passer,the past against Netherland beats all of ozil passes,messi makes great passes even when being crowded and tackled

is difficult to rank passing... messi doenst pass the ball as much as ozil because he dont need to, most of the times the better option to any player not in position to score is to pass but this is not true to messi most of his career because he can dribble everyone an score... that why we are seeing his best passing skills now that he cant run so much. also most of his career he play as a false 9 so there werent to many people forward to pass the ball. Still back then he manage to do a lot of short very fast passing with xavi iniesta and a little les with dinho, there are not so appealing for the camera but most of the times are more difficult than long distance passing betwen lines (because they are also with little space and you must do it in the blink of an eye), but you will never see them in a highlight.. if we are talking of long passing betwen lines i would say that de bruine, scholles and riquelme are by far the best i ever see with junior, socrates and zico very close to them. but the best passing (every type of pass) ability are from the three greatest ever messi, pele and maradona......yeah and by far, its just that for them passing wasnt always the best option
