Um I had a past partner who told me the same thing. He said he saw me as a friend. It was a lie. He ended up telling me months later when we started dating, he really just wasn’t ready to be in a relationship. His last ex literally was damaging to him, she threatened to kill herself if he left and he was unhappy. He was afraid to experience that again so he rejected me despite his attraction to me. I remember he was a bit interested when I told him I got out from a very bad relationship. That is when he started backing out. True I was questioning my intuition. Pile 1; it deff is a new start. We had a falling out that put our friendship on hold. It went sour for a couple months. Then he came around and started reaching out. A tarot reader told me he would reach out in December. Then, ob December 31st he messaged me to hang out (just us two). Which was fun. It was a revival of the old energy between us and we got to ring in the New Year listening to music and having fun. I do feel his attraction to me. It's mutual and something we talked about in September 2020. It never got off the ground though. So now in 2021 I want to see this move forward. He's a fire sign and I'm air.
