They are for sure canons. I know the one to the right of card. Burke. He is mons. Francesco Braschi, member of the Chapter of Basilica di Sant'Ambrogio in Milan. It's an insult towards God. Jesus had no Place to lay his head and all these marble walls, marble floors, gold,silver and bronze, it has nothing to do with Christianity. It doesn't represent Jesus at all.

Sorry Cardinal Burke, I saw a big mistake in this video. When you were vesting at the "throne": they removed your Cappa, left on the Rochet, (pre 1962 rite, but I guess ok) then you put on your cardinal's lace alb, ok, but then the amice over the alb! No. They never did that. The amice should have went under the alb. Minor. But you know mistakes in the Liturgy before 1966 were rare if not existent. You have the cappa magna, Ive even seen you in the 30 tasseled scarlet galero, but why didnt you ever buy a Cardinal's choir robe sash, the one with the metallic gold pompoms and tassels on both ends. If you want tradition and " the look and feel" of what was, and what Pope Benedict allowed in the Extraordinary form, you should get one. Also, did you ever think of the train on your scarlet choir cassocks? These are not criticisms, just questions. Your doing a great job! I wish you would do a Solemn High Mass in Chicago. Ad Multos Annos! Respectfully, John Barone

The Mass was celebrated according to the Ambrosian rite, and in Ambrosian rite the amice is put over the alb, not under as is done in roman rite. It is one of the differences existing between the two rites, like, for example, the diaconal stole worn over the dalmatic as you can see in the video. So there isn't any mistake.

prigionierodizenda Thank you. You learn something new every day. Ergo, sorry Cardinal Burke. I did NOT know that the Mass was the Ambrosian Rite. Further, the video was only 7:48, if the whole Liturgy was shone, I may have figured out it was a different Rite. I remember seeing pictures of the Ambrosian rite of a regular Mass by a priest, in a Lives of the Saints Book. So thank you Prigionierodizenda, and Mea culpa... mea maxima culpa. John P.S. Maybe I should buy Cardinal Burke the Extraordinary form Cardinal's choir scarlet sash with the gold tassels? For penance. Or maybe the Cardinal, himself will read and answer my questions.

Definire "orgasmo liturgico" quello che diverse generazioni di cristiani hanno ritenuto sacro, è, a mio avviso, ingiusto e antistorico (venato da un certo pregiudizio...); che sia un "don" a dirlo mi lascia interdetto perché fa intravvedere una carente formazione liturgica. È vero, si sono fatti diversi passi, ma non sempre la direzione dei medesimi è palese...
