@@themaggattack Not really though, 7 year old kids don’t exactly need a strategy to for getting money... & besides, a 7 year old does not know why he wants money in the first place. At that age, children look at celebrities & daydream about the glamorous life, thinking they will be happy if they get that. They learn (subconsciously) that money should be a priority. Emma was trying to show the kid the truth & shift his thinking from being materialistic to getting a different set of values. (& what exactly do you call “a strategy” for a 7 year old? All she could’ve said was “work hard” & even though that could be motivational, it could also be misleading, because it would confirm to the kid that richness is the main goal to set - it is not).

It's honestly baffled me my whole life that adults never treat children with respect and as equals. I would like people like Emma Thomson to be the norm for an adult.

Can we pause for a second and just appreciate that Scottish accent Emma did?? As a Scottish person I am floored at how flawless that was?!

emma thompson is the sort of person i loved to have as a teacher back in primary school, so nice and kind and just gives good vibes

I love Emma more every time I see her. Then I found out she introduced Stephen Fry and Hugh Laurie and I knew my instincts were right.

I love this interview! 😊❤️ I liked what she said about giving away money. When you give a portion of it away, you learn to not be so (emotionally) attached to this and can learn to appreciate and save more money. Perhaps this is why God asked Abraham for tithes and offerings. 🤔🙂 I liked when they offered advice on not stealing, but instead actually using their money to buy something. I also loved when she handled all the questions with graciousness.
