i've loved gary oldman for decades - it's even better now that he's been sober for more than 5 minutes. he's a brilliant actor - and for a time, i thought he might not make it to a ripe old age. it's nice to see him with a bit of gray hair - just having a chat. i've been reading about the panama papers for some time - it's a LOT to take in. but it's fascinating. i look forward to this movie. cheers.

ROMA, a Netflix film, just won the 2019 Academy Award for Best Picture this year and PERIOD.END OF SENTENCE also won for Best Documentary this year- with ICARUS taking the Best Documentary Feature Oscar in 2018. Additional Netflix Oscar nominees in the recent past include but are not limited to the films Mudbound, The Ballad of Buster Scruggs, 13th, Strong Island, and Winter on Fire: Ukraine's Fight for Freedom. I know it may still feel wildly unorthodox to some, but Netflix has established itself in Hollywood as a viable power player that makes global stars and shifts film culture. Much like the digitalization of the music industry 2 decades ago, people will either have to get on board or be left behind: the train has left the station and there will be no turning back. If anything, Streep, in professional wisdom, is simply ahead of the curve.
