I worked year round for 5 years outside and drove trucks without a/c in central and southeast florida . I'm sure it's alot more fun if you don't need to work outside and I am considering retiring there.
I got to visit New Port, RI when I was in the Navy. New Port is a very lovely place so for you to rave about Merritt Island speaks volumes. Thanks for the parking tip.

We bought a new-build 3 months ago in West Melbourne area near 192 and just west of I-95 and we get ocean breezes every day. I've lived on the Intracoastal and oceanfront in Florida, and we get better and more consistent breeze in this area of Brevard County.
