I grew up listening to the Osmonds and, like every other girl around my age, fell in love with Donny. This is hard. They are all legends. I hope they all know how much they are loved and respected. Enjoy your family time Merrill. You've earned it.

You never let us down! Your family was an inspiration for many that followed you. We love the Osmond family and always will!

I made it without a tear until Donny went to Merrill. Thank you so much Miss Samantha for sharing this video. Still has an awesome voice for over 150 years.

Luv Merrill's voice, always had!!

Hello...When my husband to be and I were dating ( he was just out of the Navy and I was a senior in high school) we would watch the Andy Williams show and the 🎶Osmonds were guests on the show 🎶 they were amazing. Now here Merrill is retiring and I'm now 76 years old and still love the Osmonds and their wholesome music🎶 fit for Everyone to listen to. Great talent each and every member of that wonderful family.

This is what made the Osmonds so special. You heard the love that Merrill had for the fans, as all of the Osmonds had, and the love they had for each other. We will never see anything like the Osmonds again. I have met each of them, including their parents, and I truely did feel more like a friend than a fan! They will be missed!

Merrill has such an amazing voice. Sorry to see him retire but everyone has their time. Lovely for Donny to be there to send him off.

Back in the 70's every Friday night was Donnie and Marie Osmond show. It was Edgewood Pizza and coke. What a treat it was for us kids. Flash Forward to 2022. My Dad is gone, My sister is gone and my mom is 77 and has dementia. I am it, the last one left from our family. I try not to think of it all it hurts so bad. Well enough of my BS, no one wants to hear my crap. Anyway Donnie and Marie YES were the best thing back on the day.

I've been a fan since I was 10 yrs old (I'm 61 now) watching this, reminded me of why I love this family so much. Their love for each other is so obvious and genuine. I have raised 3 sons, myself and I have to say, they have that kind of love for each other that I saw in this video. God bless you, Merrill and of course, my favorite, Donny!!

What a decent legendary family. I can't recall one scandal. They have always acted with character and dignity.

Donny was always such a ham but was NEVER a stage/spot-light hog. He wanted to be there for Merrill but stepped aside and let it be all about his brother. Their hug has me bawling. Merrill's voice is still so strong and great. Wow, it was 50 years ago that Down By the Lazy River came out and I still have the 45. When did I get old? Happy retirement, Merrill. Thanks.

My Mom LOVED the Osmond Family and she would "Volunteer" me and my three brothers in music shows and we would do a variety of songs and often times comedic stuff like "Alvin and The Chipmuncks" with my oldest Brother being David Seville! But her proudest moments were when she taught us boys to appreciate The Osmond Family through their music and singing! My little sister would come on halfway through our show and become Marie! Great Memories and just plum delighted to have had the opportunity to be Donny on many a Summer night at The Town Hall. I had dark hair and brown eyes...but there can really only be One Donny! For just a second ,didn't you see Donny as a child probably doing that as a child with Merrill if he needed a brother hug....

Merrill is a treasure! Is Donny the classiest man ever? He stayed offstage until his brother needed him, stepped in to support, and then backed right off and out of the spotlight.

My Sister, friend & I queued up for a day and a half to get tickets to see the Osmonds at Belle Vues Kings Hall in Manchester, England. The concert was one of the best nights I ever had, Crazy Horses opened the show, fantastic. God I miss those days. R.I.P Merrill. ❤️🇬🇧

So many years ago we used to watch the Osmonds when our Dear Mother was alive she died when we were just children memories a life long.......guardian angels from above.

You still have it Merrill after all these centuries 😊. Love you and thank you for all the wonderful moments that you and family left in all of our hearts. May you have a wonderful retirement and be blessed with great heath and happiness. ❤❤❤

@@officialmerrillosmond hola, soy fan desde hace 30 años, inclusive fui a verlos al concierto cuando fueron a la Ciudad de México e inclusive tengo los autógrafos de Donny, Merrill, Alan y Wayne, estuve en primera fila junto con otras amigas que teníamos el Club de Fans "The Osmonds Brothers", 🤣 llegamos con maletas al Auditorio Nacional con todo y maletas al concierto a verlos, porque la reservación en el hotel no la respetaron y hasta a una amiga le robaron la maleta, pasamos muchas dificultades pero lo importante era ir a verlos, para ir a la Ciudad de México y juntar dinero para comprar nuestros boletos, vendimos tostadas, palomitas, gelatinas, hicimos rifas y en los cruceros pedíamos ayuda $$, y lo logramos, vimos a nuestros ídolos, hoy tengo 66 años y sigo escuchando música de ustedes y siempre les digo a las personas que conozco que si no me perdí en el mundo fue gracias a The Osmonds Brothers, porque con su ejemplo de buenos chicos, eso nos ayudó mucho a todas las del club de fans...y hasta me bautice en la religión mormona☺️

This is such a sweet and touching video. I hope you have a long and happy retirement Merrill. It was so awesome that Donny was able to be there. This has brought me to tears.

‘Tis indeed hard to say goodbye. Merrill’s voice is still strong and beautiful, so he’s bowing out while on top. He’s 69yo so it’s ok for him to do something less strenuous, we’ll miss him but we’ll be just fine. Donny may not be too far behind, he’ll be 65 this December and if his & Debbie’s health holds out he’ll keep going for at least 4yrs.

The Osmonds are such a great family. God Bless them all.

Totally crying, so now there’s two songs that are saying goodbye that make us cry, the final chapter and now this one it’s so hard to believe it’s all come to an end I know they were my heart and I know they’re your heart as well one thing we all have in common even though we’re different in so many ways but WE LOVE THE OSMONDS always have and we always will. Merrill, so talented! Such a heartwarming, honest way about him, a true showman, retiring gracefully, gives me hope for my own "grown up years". We don't get older, we just get more like Merrill :)

Marie bought her Wedding Invations, there, that went, (not sure, but, even the President, of the USA, received an invitation, from Rexburg, ID!) An era is over the Osmonds I grew up listening to their music I and Marie are the same age God bless them It is very sad... Merrill had an amazing singing voice and Donny added to the Osmond brothers group I liked the song they sang like a Yoyo...

The Osmunds and the Jackson 5 were the top teenage groups in the 1960s and 70s. The J5 fell apart because of their bad ways, but the Osmunds thrived with their wholesomeness. Thanks for the memories Merril , enjoy retirement.

The J5 fell apart because of the rough upbringing and the temptations of the entertainment industry. What you’re not gonna do is downplay the Jackson family. They also made great contributions just as the Osmonds did.

Good family and so much love and talent. I want to be an Osmond.

every year when they were in Vegas, my dad would take me and my sisters to see them. one time we got to go back stage and meet them. that was a fantastic experience. Yeap, no one like the Osmonds.

I do hope that he has a good retirement , but maybe will do a concert once in a while. Lost my Mom in December , she was a huge Osmond fan too. Wow, where has time gone .
