    I will say, I do feel like the other mermaids do care for Syrena. I say this because in the scene where Black Beard is trying to get a tear out of Syrena, he says “Do you not hear you sisters scream? Do you not hear them? We need but one tear.” I think the screaming from the mermaids was them panicking because Syrena is missing and they were calling out for her. Black Beard says “We need but one tear” implying that he’d release her back to her sisters if she’d just give him a tear…which he didn’t end up doing.

    I Have A Theory That Davy Jones Has Captured Queen Athena So That He Kept Her Chained On His Ship And She Would Cry As She Thought About Ariel However The Dutchman's Cap'n Had An Idea He Would Resurface And He Would Tell Her To Sing But She Refused To Sing But He Told Her She'd Go Free And So She Sang But He Took Her Voice And Before She Let Out A Horrible Screech But Her Voice Was Taken And Her Tail Became Legs And He Laughed As The Dutchman Sailed So The Captain Had Another Idea So He Grabbed Her And Hauled Athena To The Brig And She Was Kept There Also She Meet Bootstrap Bill He Asked The Captain If She Can Leave The Ship And He Agreed But No One Wasnt Able To Carry Her So He Again Hauled Her Off The Ship And Someone Was Able To Carry Her And She Learned To Walk But Couldn't Speak
