Beautiful!!! How do you prevent the fondant mermaid tails from falling apart?? They were so soft and didnt hold after applicatiin on cupcake...even with toothpick. Any tips?

You have to allow them to dry for at least a day so the fondant will become stiffer & stand on its own.

Or you can put 1/4 teaspoon of CMC / Tylo powder so the fondant can solid quickly.. 😊

over night should work. or you can place it in the oven at around 50°C for 1-2 hrs. have fun!

Are these the large mermaid tails or small?

Hi, I thought I'd have a go at making my daughter a mermaid tail cake however I'm not convinced the tails are working. I have a silicon mold but the tails look like their cracking & when I lift them the fin part is breaking off. Is it because they haven't completely dried or am I doing something wrong? Any advice greatly appreciated.....thank you

Hi you can put ¼ teaspoon ofCMC / Tylo powder. And knead until combine together. The fondant is dry so quick. If your fondant so dry just knead with your hand and put a little bit of shortening. Hope you get my tips. 👌🏻

of course as it is sugar paste and edible glue etc. ..... just don't eat the toothpick!
