Merlin's own Carbon Arrows - Worth buying?

For less that £5 per arrow I like them. And being as bare as they are means you can custom them in anyway if that's what you like.
Here is Merlin's link;

The music was Colter Wall - go check his stuff out he is pretty awesome.

    I got 6 of these with the Timber creek Mamba bow kit ( I needed some full length arrows as mine were all cut to 28") and have been very impressed with them. yes they are a bit plain but I've shot them with all my bows -30lb Marksman Ranger - 35lb Matrix, 35lb Cottonmouth and 40lb Samick Deermaster and they shoot straight and true from all of them - as well as my Easton Axis trad carbons. I even put one through a steel dustpan shovel the other night by mistake with no damage to the arrow!. Downsides, the shrinkwrap on the fletchings can catch and mark the riser - I swapped it for insulating tape and will do it properly with thread when I get a chance, also the points do come loose but all you need is a wrap of PTFE tape on the threads to stop that. All in all an excellent arrow for the money.

    They mark my risers too, I wonder if their long length makes tuning difficult. Even with my 29 inch draw length there's still a good 3+ inches sticking out in-front of the bow.

    Bare shafts would be even better 😊 but then again for ready to shoot carbon arrows that is soo cheap 👍

    I've just received 18 of these MAC arrows. Spun them out on my pine ridge tester and they are all very good straight shafts. I will be using them for 3D soon trialling the 3 different spined batches with my 50lb Bodnik slick stick. I've been using bearpaw penthalons and goldtips up to now but these are nearly a third of the price at $10.50 each,bloody good value.

    The 500 spine shafts are very good from my slick stick with 145gn FPs, the 600 spine shafts are going well from my 40lb Bear Kassai. I'm still waiting on my 35lb Black hunter and will use 700 spines. To be honest the finish near the inserts are wearing off quickly but other than that no problems after a few dozen shots.

    @@LIGHTNINLIPSKI1 How come you're using weaker arrow spines than recommended on the arrow product page? I use the 600 spine for a 30 lb bow but do find they hit the riser and leave wear marks in the rug and strike plate.

    Based on how the feathers are fletched, I think these are Chinese arrows re-branded through Merlin. I mean, if they shot great, then nothing to complain about. I'm using Chinese made aluminiums for the time being until I can afford the Timber Creek Carbon Classics.

    What ever you do don't batter them about. Their not the best and tend to break up on the rear and when they break you can see they have a very low carbon content.
