Merlin Gnomes

In this video I show how to create a "Merlin" gnome. It requires a small amount of stoneware clay rolled out at 1/4 inch. Aside from basic hand-building tools, it requires some circular cutters and hole makers. The template may be created from a portion (1/4 or 1/3 of 6.5" circle) in place of the Fat Daddio Fan cutters. Explore your surroundings for texture for the beard and cape trim.

Hi Jamie, just wanted to say thanks for sharing this. I thought this might be a good simple first test for my locally harvested clay. If he survives firing, I'll make a whole village. :)
