    565ci BBCs are a sweet set-up, a friend has a full-on race one (16+ to 1 comp., '900" lift cam, 1450 Carb. ,ProFiler heads&intake) it made 1160HP on Panellas Dyno N/A (works well in his S/C-T/D)

    What as the rpm on your motor ,sounds like a pretty wild combo ,you probably can turn over 9000 rpm .I had a 69 copo camaro that I could hit 10,000 rpm with but it had a short stoke zl-1 rotatating assembly ,took me long time to get it like that ,was shifting at 7800 for a long time but only had a 8000 tach and a heavy 38 lb flywheel .took the heavy flywheel out and replace d with 26 lb wheel ,should have used light 11' aluminum wheel

One of my favorite times when I could race was the two days I spent at westec in the company of the greatest horsepower making machines Steve and Stiregal Dynoing my 572 BBC BG deals that needed more air! 🤣 an awesome experience to sit and just listen and do everything they said to do

    Thanks Richard, I've always wanted to get my hands on one of those Merlin blocks or a assembled one. I've got friends that ran them and they were bullit proof. It surprised me to see you cranked that think to 7500 but after I saw what all was done I figured it out haha. But awesome video. I would love to have that engine but I also know you probably have a good chunk of money in that thing. I'd like to see a pro charger on it or a turbo charger maybe. I'm more of a turbo guy cause you can always turn the boost up with ease. If you have the proper turbo that is. That would be a good video to do if you haven't. I know that would take alot of time and money just throwing that out there. But if you have awesome! Thanks for the awesome videos. I really love how the nitrous plate made power with no N02. I'm gonna watch it again and try to figure that one out. Keep up the amazing work.

    Great job might have been to much carb on the tunnel ram for that hp causing a week signal to the carbs and not enough velocity to pull the fuel in, but you and Brule are great.Keep it up.

    On top of the 8 O2 sensors in there you should've also put a set of EGT's in there as well and a fogger kit on the tunnel ram and 2 nitrous big shot plates that you can jet up to a 500 shot a piece and have them wired to hit at the same time together I personally have never seen someone run 2 plates on a tunnel ram plus a fogger and if you can get the engine to put out anywhere from 1000-1100hp N/A plus all that nitrous you could potentially have an engine that is making 2000+hp where most of the time guys who make that much hp have a 632cid engine with 3 kits

    This channel and others like it proves that the " word of mouth" in some ways for power adders or even just small things that can make good or decent power, all the little things add up! You just have to do your research. I quit listening to oh you shouldn't do that or run this when I swaped and boosted my car I ran it with turbo maxed out on boost and a few other tricks, the engine lasted your 6 years before it got refreshed. But I bought it used also, and did all my own work/ prep work before i stuck the swap in.

    No more Merlin blocks for me, I have a four link Miller dragster that I bought used with a 565 on methanol. It was built with a Merlin III block and wound up cracking in the main webbing, The Merlin blocks have a history of this and was supposed to be fixed with the updated Merlin III. • @grumpysteelman

    @grumpysteelman

    3 жыл бұрын

    Why would it be an issue? Obviously heavy duty cooling - a 4” deep radiator core and running an electric water pump or standard to slight overdrive on the water pump would be a good idea, but a big block with a cam that isn’t causing it to load up at idle shouldn’t be too hard to keep cool. I’m not being intentionally obtuse, because most BBC application have less room in the engine bay but the major cooling “culprit” is long tube headers increasing the engine bay temperature on most combos.
