Derek/Addison/Meredith love triangle AU wherein Derek leaves Meredith and gets back with Addison. Meredith realizes she’s in love with Addison and can’t stand that Derek and Addison are together so she stops fighting. Meredith nearly drowns, and during her near-death whatever, Addison comes to the realization that she loves Meredith too. Derek doesn’t realize that Meredith and Addison love each other until he overhears them talking in Meredith’s hospital room a few days after she wakes up. He decides that he wants them both to be happy and steps aside.
