Yesterday on 17.06.2022, in a cultural evening on the eve of foundation day of A N College, Patna (India), students performed this song and no one could stop himself in such jubilant music including the principal of The A.N.College and Vice Chancellor of PPU, Patna. Highly commendable and memorable music and song by Nusrat Saheb for future generations.

I was so lucky that I attended this concert. Initially it got postponed due to the murder of Siraj Al Haq in Pakistan. It was a unique and memorable event as it was probably the first performance by Ustaad ji in KSA. Love and respect for Ustaad ji by a huge fan of him and Ustaad e Mohtaram Nusrat Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan saheb.

Unfortunately there will always be people who will argue, this is Indian or Pakistani but the truth is India, Pakistan, Bangladesh were part of of big country for considerable period of time. The rich culture of united India developed during this period. Urdu & Hindi came out of Persian & Sanskrit. Hindustani music developed from more ancient Drupad & Carnatic traditional renditions with some influences from outside too. Basically music, culture & food at that time mixed & refined to a very fine level. Today unfortunately we are all divided geographically & many ideologically too. It took centuries for this united refinement to happen, it might take centuries for all this to come back again, if ever. Wishing peace, happiness & good health to everyone 🙏🏻
