Wow! I was staying in kitui the year is 2003 and i was a houseboy, my employer had this sony radio, i used to hear this song na ingine upendo upendo wa kwanza in biblia husema Today am so thankful to God, if you see me you won't know that i was a houseboy cos am driving my own prado TX new face and many other Blessings. There's none of us who's beyond change as long as we put God first and step by step obey Him. Am also A Gospel music artist praising God for His goodness, my songs on my channel.

When I first listened to this song, I wondered why it's not receving it's deserving airtime +++ I am unable to reconcile this song with muscian because of my assumption that mercy was Luhya...seriously, then I read Mercy Masika, Masika,Masika...and it dawned on me that name is also very much in kamba land. +++ I have never met Mercy but she sounds like the kid sister I never heard. She is one person I would like to meet one day

no its a legendary akamba song created by the early christian missionaries and pioneer akamba convertees,its as old as the song ngülü ngülü wa nzaü ngülü mwaia....Amükomete was a systematically created to belittle traditional religions like many other cultural practices for it was telling the people to "wake up" from the religious limbo and join christianity. Its good Mercy sang this song to keep it in the electronic archives of history.
