Mercuriall 6160iii (EVH Stealth 5150iii)

Mercuriall 6160iii (EVH Stealth 5150iii)
EVH STEALTH 5150iii IN A PLUGIN ZOMG!
For real the EVH Stealth is basically the default metal/punk amp and an amp sim specifically for it will ALWAYS be welcome. Mercuriall have knocked it out of the park with this one it sounds and feels amazing.
I love that it's a modelled version of this and not a capture. I've heard great captures on the Quad Cortex, Kemper, NAM and ToneX. The Fractal Audio AxeFx3 FM3 FM9 etc only have the basic 5150iii, not the Stealth or other versions so actually getting a 5150iii Stealth replication hasn't been done until now (I believe).
The only other player who's modelled a Stealth ironically is the Fender Tone Master Pro.... and from all accounts it sounds HORRIBLE (lol, sorry not sorry).
I would highly reccomend you grab a trial of this!

Mercuriall is definitely among the best amp sim developers out there. I don't think they've actually released a single plugin that I don't like. Their previous offering - the Dual Rectifier - is the best Recto sim I've tried/heard, and this one might just be the best 5153 sim! It captures that immensely thick saturation the 5150 series of amps are known for.

Yeah its crazy how many amp sim companies are out there and its easy to hear 100 names and not have the time or energy to check them all out. I'd seen Leon and a few other people talk about the Triaxis and Recto models but they didnt catch my attention too much. When I saw the 5153 stealth and one or two videos I was like, ok im in. It honestly plays and sounds as good or better than the Fractal 5150iii which I would say is best in class for digital. Sure the Fractal has endless tweaks but its not a vst and do you realistically need all that stuff? The 6160iii is just an insanely solid amp sim.

I REALLY like the sound of this one. It does the 5150iii sound quite well and, to me, has this JCM 800 character to it as well (in the intro track example). Great playing!

I've been using it for 2 weeks or so and it still feels top tier every time I fire it up. I dunno what sorcery they're using for modelling but its come out amazing.

@@ampspedalspickupsthey’re using SPICE-like simulation for modeling preamp cascades pretty much like Fractal does. And as far as I understand, they’re using their own neural engine for power amp approach. When modeling, they work with real amp, making sure nominals and voltages across the circuit are the same they have in simulation. That’s why you can feel right dynamics and get tone stack to work precisely same way as in the real amp they got to work with.

You certainly got the trick to make all the amp sims sound awesome in your videos. Can you please make a video showing everything from your computer configuration, your audio interface, gain knob on interface and how to connect all the gear just the way you do? Also the way you load everything in DAW and signal chain. Plugins at my place just don't sound anywhere close to how they sound in your videos. I use RME Babyface pro fs. Thanks!

Not a bad idea! Any amp sims you own or want to see?

@@ampspedalspickups I own (wink wink) pretty much all the plugins, haha. Maybe try with ML sound AMPED, STL plugins, TH-U, Amplitube, Tonocracy, Mercuriall etc and if you'd like to add anything more. Reason I didn't mention specifics is because I'm not aware (yet) about which plugins you own or will be possible for you. Therefore I just gave the manufacturers names assuming you might be owning some or the other plugins from them. Basically, I need crunch/rhythm/high gain sounds. I think making a video showing the very very basics like, taking a guitar cable, plugging it into your interface, showing where you set your input gain, high-z input, connecting interface to computer, specs of computer like processor + ram configuration, then starting the DAW, routing, buffer size, sample size settings, loading the plugins, setting the input gain and also if you use any trim plugins before the amp sim. I think when Ed S's' video came, you made a video explaining the input gain. So in my opinion you have really understood what Ed meant. Therefore you're the only youtuber yet that I'm asking to make this video. Also the sounds that you are getting from all these plugins in your videos is simply what I desire to achieve. I'm sure many people out there will benefit from the video if you get time to make it. Looking forward to it. Thanks for everything my friend.
