@@forsakenheaven384 as dumb as it sounds. This job is laborious. So take your time and please please please use correct lift form. You’re gonna be lift cases and bottles all day long! You’re probably gonna work 10-12 hour shifts depending on the route you get. Some days it’s great. Others it sucks. But so does every job! Since you’re starting out they’re probably gonna have your running to different stores all the time to fill routes. I’d say get acquainted with every store as best as possible. Learn where everything is at. Coolers, Gatorade, coffee, tea, energy drinks, water etc. learn where everything goes! And fill the endcaps! ORGANISE YOUR BACKSTOCK! That’ll make the job SOOOO much easier with whatever doesn’t go to the sales floor. AND bring a pen and paper pad with you. If you end up working afternoon shifts, most of the product will be on the shelf from the order earlier in the day. So bring a pen and paper pad and write down everything you need to fill the shelf at that time ie. 5 Pepsi 2 liters, 8 Mountain Dew 12 packs cans, 4 orange crush 6 pack bottles. 1 Gatorade 28oz. Like Walmarts and Kroger and Meijer the backroom receivers are going to treat you like shit. All I have to say to them is fuck off. They might tell you certain things you really don’t have to do and then they expect it. Stand up for yourself if you think they’re treating you poorly! I’ve met great backroom receivers and they’ve treated me with the respect I deserve and I’ve gotten kicked out of stores because I’ve gotten into arguments! Stand up when you think it’s right! Don’t let some asshole making $15 an hour tell you what to do! SOME ARE COOL SOME ARENT. So make good relationships with them when you can. But when you can’t. Tell ‘em to go fuck themselves. Because they’ll basically tell you the same! That’s basically all I’ve got I think. Here’s a run down with some extra things. PLEASE lift with proper form, you will regret it if you don’t. Take time to learn the stores you’re working in. Bring a pen and paper notepad to write down product. Break down cardboard and plastic. Stack all shells nicely! Stack pallets when done with them. Some back room receivers are cool! Some are assholes. Try to be cool with everyone! Take your time and do a good job! Sorry this is so long but if I knew this shit when I started I would have been so much better off! And I think it’s good you’re starting out! Congrats! It’s a good hard working career!
