Nice video and easy to watch. Didn't drain the torque convertor? That holds about 3 to 4 litres so only about half the ATF has been replaced. Is this 722.6 one that doesn't have a TC drain plug? The 5GTronic 722.682 in my W639 Vito has the TC drain plug. I also flush the oil cooler out as that holds about a litre so all up I use about 8.5 litres for a full ATF change. I mean you wouldn't change half your engine oil.

Scott, you are so right, and yet there is a flash-up on the screen that says to ... _"Keep the engine running during the entire repair procedure!"_ .. I'm wondering if that means the system will flush out the TC and Trans-cooler on it's own since the system is running and activated? What do you think?

It could start leak. It's better to change it while you are there doing other stuff

Great video on the oil change .I have been told buy a numerous amount of mechanics that Mercedes Benz have life time oil and do not need changing ?? How ever i find this very hard to believe . May i ask what oil was used to replace the old oil Thanks .

You have the 7speed, this is a 5speed

DO NOT KEEP THE ENGINE RUNNING THREW OUT THE WHOLE PROCEDURE, ARE YOU TRYING TO MAKE THEM REPLACE THERE PUMPS?

actually, you have to keep the engine running, otherwise you can't fill it up enough. did it on my bmw and when i filled it underneath when the engine wasn't running, it starte overflooding. with the engine running it didnt start flooding and i could fill the right amount.

Keep it running from the beginning to end? As in even when you are draining g the tranny and are swapping out filter??

not right. you don't drain old fluid on hydrotransformator

Dont think so, I would recommend draining the 2L of old oil from the torque converter.

what years Mercedes does this cover?

Most W204 don't have a fill port or a dipstick for ATF. You have to fill through the drain hole.

I have owned three 204, none of them had I dip stick

2:49 keep engine running during entire procedure.....wouldn't it help to start your video off with the most important step first, and not almost 3 minutes into the video.

Engine running after you drain and add 4 liters, then you add oil as needed. The video is very self explanatory
