Bruno Sacco, the designer of the R129, said himself that the R129 looks better with the hard top on than without it. And he does have a point, because the R129 SL indeed looks better with the hard top in place than without it. If I had an R129 SL 600, I'd put the hard top on it and leave it there forever.
