Only need 4NM on the small bolts on the PCV cover! Also, they are one-use aluminum bolts. Don’t reuse them because they can break. Always replace them. The other bolts should be tightened to 8.8NM. They can be reused. Thanks.

Good job, like your step by step way, Ive got one of these jobs incoming so Im documenting ahead ) btw good idea, and something I plan to, also clean the manifold/TB while you're at it btw no need to label/worry about the coils, they are all the same, you can swap them around no issue, just remember the a/b wires

A mechanic changed both of my gaskets and now a check engine light and burning smell have been coming from my car. Any idea as to why?

My guess would be, intake/ throttle body not seating properly! Burning smell is most likely oil that probably got spilled on your manifolds during the gasket replacement. I would check with a mirror to see if the intake or throttle body are seated properly and hopefully once the oil is burned off your headers, there won't be any more smell. Hope it helps. Cheers
