Looking at an e320 L6 tomorrow with 140k miles. Saw it tonight but wanted to see it in day light. Need to pull cover as there was definitely leaks of something prior. They did valve cover and a pulley (said it was shreading belts prior) gonna check hp pump also now 🤙

Thank you for taking the time to create this video but you point to the pump but show nothing about removing it, then it's out. Would have been nice to include the actual process of removing it.

Was yours leakin badly i have same problem but mine leaks like crazy from the bottom of the pump on the belts

Dealer says HP pump leaking and replacement well over $2k. Hope mine are just loose bolts like this.

Yeah hopefully. Check the way the pump vibrates, like I explained in the video. If there is a distinct difference in vibration between the pump itself and the adapter plate it is mounted to then that means the bolts are loose

Pulled my HP pump and saw the exact same problem. the two bolts an engine right were backed all the way out, the two on engine left were barely snug and the two on the top were almost at torque of 75-in-lb. (each needed just about 1/4 turn to breakover the wrench. Torqued all to 75 in-lb and reinstalled and had no more leaking. even though there appeared to be no locktite on the bolts, I would have used some, but was out at the time. If I have occasion to have the fan out again for some other reason, I may pull the pump and re-do the bolts with locktite.
