lack of oil pressure could be one reason but judging the excellent condition of other bearings and journals , i think this has more to do with overheating. oil cooler gasket failure is really common on these. every owner should regularly check for these leaks. this car definitely ran low on coolant because it was loosing coolant from the oil cooler. om651 is plagued with problems , coolant leaks and timing chain failure are two very common ones. timing chain failure can be prevented with 5000-7000km oil change intervals.

@@roh6529 imagine buying a 60 lacs car, getting it wrapped and audio upgrade, and still not changing the oil!!! I know oil gets black in diesel cars pretty quickly but this oil was far gone!
