Thanks for this detailed video of rear brakes replacement. Sir may I enquire with you..I have a 2013 CLS AMG 3.0L Diesel..is the system on my car identical to what I have seen on here ? If you dont mind may I also enquire as to why you put paste onto the new brake pads and which brand would you recommend I use. Many thanks again and SUBSCRIBING was a pleasure.

Thanks for the comments, much appreciated.. yeah it will be the same unless yours has the electronic handbrake.. the paste is just for lubrication, so the pads can move in the carrier nicely.. id recommend Pagid , it may be worth checking the price for OE Merc pads as they sometimes arnt too bad.. always worth a check.. My "Cap" the first part that you removed has snapped. it is just one arm that has snapped off - I had the tyres changed and the mechanic changing the tyre noticed it. They have to order the part in to the Island that I live on and it could take months for the part to arrive. He Says it is okay to drive around - but I would like to hear your thoughts on this. it is a 2012 CLS 350D with 100,000km on the clock

Thanks for the comment, obviously it is meant to be there as it locks everything together but the pads can't physically fall out so its not really unsafe and should be fine until the part arrives

My check brake wear light has just come on, how do I know if its front or back, do I have to visualy check?

Hi Roy, yes some models will say front or rear but if it’s only saying check brake wear you’ll need to check both to find out 👌👍
