Been in a similar situation over here in Finland, several buses in a small hill with really wet snow and slush, allthough it wasn't a merc, but a Scania lahti scala.

Close to Dikemark, Strømnsveien I think this particular stop is called. The problem with the snow lies in all the roadsalt they use. Not all drivers know of mechanical sympathy.

Too much pressure this bus gone crazy!!! How come being with that? Wasn't cancelled those bus for rest until special salt lorry on the road, before local buses restore on operating. Absolutely madness done like THIS!

Kuttu Kuttu The problem with that is the friction between the road and the tire. The rolling resistance increases dramaticly with off road tires. Which again increases the fuel usage.

Lubos PlayZ yeah the engine would dies if he kept reviving at maximum RPM for minutes but if he does some pauses like this then no problem

Apparently the high pitch sound is emitted by the spinning tyres, not to be mistaken it as the high revving of the engine. Sometimes the thread of the tyres on slippery surfaces do emit such high pitch sound.
