Great video thanks! I am having so much trouble getting that 13mm bolt in.. is there a way of knowing that you’ve lined up the battery correctly ? I have lined up the bracket and the hole with a chopstick so I know it’s definitely aligned but when I try spinning the 13mm bolt in it just keeps spinning. I’m not sure if it’s because the battery isn’t in the right place so bracket is too far above the hole or something.. So how do you know the battery is correctly put in place ?

The clamp needs to be sitting flat the way it came out, sometimes you need to wiggle the battery and make nothing is blocking it, it’s a tight fit..

@@DaringBeefcake yeah… very fiddly. I resolved it by replacing the bolt with a slightly longer one - maybe 5mm longer - it was much easier to fit! And there’s plenty of space between the thread before it hits the engine bay. Definitely recommend it!

The battery that came out was an AGM battery 80amp if you have lower amps then your battery will possibly have a reduced life..

No you don’t need to disconnect the ecu. But may be you didn’t fit the terminals properly, the car doesn’t die from changing the battery!!!! Millions of batteries are replaced every year.
