Does the replacement windshield have the factory mirror tint on it? I have to replace the windshield on my 08 S550 & I’m hoping the replacement has the factory blue tint. Any insight? Great video!

If the glass place you order from have experience on Benz. Should be the same color

@@clnautoglass yea I checked with the shop. It said it was “color coated” so I’m assuming it means the factory glass color. I gave them my VIN # so I’m thinking it’ll be spot on. After doing research I found out it’s just the glass color from the factory. Thanks!

@@clnautoglass hi so I have a follow up question, I got my windshield installed & now I’m heading a slight rattling noise coming from the left of the windshield. It’s been 3 days & I still haven’t taken off the tape. Do I take it back to the shop on Tuesday? (Holiday Monday). Thanks so much for your help!

@@clnautoglass the shop told me 2 days but I haven’t taken it off because of the rattle. Taking it into the shop tomorrow as I have a lifetime warranty. Thanks a lot

Can you explain to me about the noise you said?? I bought a Mercedes GLC that has windshield changed, and sometimes i hear a ticking noise and i can't find where exactly it comes from, i think it comes somewhere from the dashboard

If you have a wiper headed on the glass is a possibility that’s not Connected it’s located Under the cowling

I don't really care about the logo and signature but does it make too much difference if safelite installs aftermarket ?

How do you remove the windshield camera? I think mine is broken and needs replacement. I keep getting a lane keeping assist warning.

All you need is a clip tool to remove the camera and plug it in plug the new one back in but I recommend you to let the dealer do that you’re not saving any dollar doing it yourself there is a calibration you must perform with the scanner

@@clnautoglass I’ve been getting a “lane assist inoperative” warning on my dash. I get it every now and then but it’s coming on a lot lately. I’m not sure if it needs to be replaced or recalibrated. I did replace my windshield about 2.5 years ago.

At this point You have to take it to the dealer and prepare your bank account because they going to replace your windshield and camera plus calibration now keep in mind that the lane assist works with the paint on the road

I watched this whole thing because I needed to find out if all that plastic stuff for mounting the camera comes with the glass. Now I know it does. I wish I had skipped ahead to 19:33.

I’m old-school. Can’t stand those corded systems. I would’ve had the windshield out already by then. I don’t need that tool to do a quality job. That’s all is just gingerbread. Like the Safelite setting tool. Must have been an insurance job. Tell him to buy a real Amg next time.

Nothing more fast then a cold knife and a pipe knife. I’m old school with the best technology on tools in the back of my van.

@clnautoglass I actually appreciate your quilty of this replacement for mercedes-benz luxury car alot of people out there they think anyone can do it in old fashion tail they leave alot damage and scratches u the best wish I have u in my town to do my S63 Amg
