In fact is a difficult job because the pcb and traces are not as they look in the video but quite smaller.Needs sharp eyes and steady hand with good quality tools.

@Data Land Shame on me? Hardly. Again, he did good work. But as I said, I was disappointed it cost almost twice as much as quoted. If i was quoted $200 I'd not have been disappointed in the cost (note again how my disappointment is in the cost, not the work). Most people strive to over-estimate and under-charge to avoid such mismatched expectations.

@Data Land You are suspiciously committed to defending someone charging far more than was quoted. In every single other interaction with an estimate I've ever had, if the work is found to cost more than quoted, a conversation is warranted. If the buyer consents, then the work proceeds, if not, it doesn't. Simple. I await your passionate defense of someone you claim to not be.

Very good work. My key is not makin any connection to the vehicle,(W204 C250), However, the battery light flashes when pressed and the strobe light works also. I am presently using my spare key that works well. Do I have to reprogram the spare key or is there some minor problem here?

Great stuff ! Thanks for this content. I have an r280 2009 2 button keys. 2nd fob will unlock car but not start. Battery power board is good have swapped out. With other fob. Uv lights and led indicator okay. But won’t start car now and again it will wake far up to position 1 but no ignition or crank. Any input appreciated muchly. All the best guys

Xlnt skillz.--really good stuff--any thoughts on my key....can start the car, but no doors/trunk function. Battery light comes on solid when pressed instead of flashing as the good functional key does. Key was laundered, and IR gradually stopped working. Have given it a good alcohol bath. Batteries test at combined 6v but will try changing anyway.

my benz fob is having the same problem.. I would like to send it in for repairs..are you still accepting repairs?

I've the exact problem, however my key fob work inside the car only lock unlock turn on ignition the second key fob is working fine from a distance so that mean 1st key fob is the issue not the car antenna. But if the key fob coil is damaged, will it work even inside the car and start the engine or that something else is broken

How much did u charge for a job like that?

I am in Msia and suddenly both keys don’t work. As both don’t work at the same time, I am inclined to believe it’s the receptors on the car itself & not the keys. Any suggestions? The ignition IR works.

If your MB key is being a pain in the ass and working intermittently, use 1 2036 and one 2025 instead of 2 2025's. works a treat and better range.

Try this method first before fixing your Mercedes key fob. Replace your battery and make sure you have red light blinking. Then follow the steps. Step 1 Place your key in the car's ignition and turn the key two clicks to the "On" position for any Mercedes car. Step 2 Press and release the lock button on your Mercedes keyless remote. Step 3 Press and hold the unlock button on your remote. Step 4 Press the lock button on your remote five times consecutively, while the unlock button is still held, at one or two second intervals. Release the two buttons and wait five seconds after pressing the lock button for the fifth time. Press either the lock or unlock button once to finish the programming sequence.

Where are you located? Can I send a key for you to fix it for me and mail it back? It’s 2008 Mercedes e350 I washed my pants and left the keys inside Now the key is not working it only blink red one time when I connect the battery and after that no signal

You could have at least put a coating to the already open and damaged traces, that wont be a lasting repair job.

My key doesn't turn when I put it in to start

You make it hard for yourself. Why are you soldering on the small traces ? Wouldn’t it be easier to solder on the holes ?
