What's the model of your autel i have problem with my 2016 Mercedes Benz gle 350, I change pyrofuse and still can't start the car, I found my reader saying the circuit 50 is like open, you think that's the fuse somwhere or it is that reset need it?

Hello Jose I hade the same problem for w205 2016 and fixed it just like you did. The engine started just fine then I switched it off. Later after fishing my work on the car i tried to switch it on but It didn't start. So i need to repeat the same procedure again?

What particular feature did you look for before you purchase your scan tool to make sure it can do the engine enable start? I was looking at the lower end maxidiag md808 was wondering is it can do the same task?

You can erase the codes only. Once you have replace all the deployed airbags. In some brands like Honda the crash data stays in the memory of the SRS module, so you need to take it off and send it to a special place to be reset. Which cost around $50usd.

This has been my issue!! I have a 2018 CLA 250 that doesn’t crank/start. I replaced the battery & starter thinking it was that and nothing. I have both driver steering & knee airbag deployed but my scanner doesn’t read anything. Any suggestions ?

I don't know. I mostly use Autel scanners. Due to pricing. I believe in the Snap On you need to look truoght the sub systems

Hi, so once you have enabled the engine to start will you have to repeat this step everytime until you change a part of some sort or is this the complete solution? Thank you. I noticed a part that connects to battery is gone abit loose not sure if if that needs replacing I'm hoping I can fix it all with mechanics computer

That part that you are talking about is call "Pyro fuse" it disconnected the battery from de vehicle to avoid any fire. You'll have to replace it before you wanna start your engine normally cause it can be rigged to start. After that the vehicle computer stores the crash data so It won't enable the engine to start again till the data has been erased trough the process described in the video. Once the crash history is removed you won't need to use this procedure again.

Nice video. I have CLA 180 2017 with minor crash. Engine Hood active. I replaced the srs module. No Dtc now but the car does not start. There is power. Fuel is coming and there is spark in the plugs. Xentry displays engine inhibit after crash not active while specified value is active. Launch X431 says no crash data found when tried to enable engine start after crash. Any help

I have a 2012 W204 C300 with Knee and Wheel deployment, drivers belt and both rear belts also locked. I have replaced all of them as well as the pyro fuse and had the crash data cleared on the SRS module by myairbags.com If I get my hands on this scanner and follow your steps is there anything else I need to do?

@@lukasscheurer9020 yes even with the deployed air bags. The only one you need to replace or "fix" is the battery Pyrofuse box which It is designed to disconnect the battery when the car is involved in an accident.

No. I just used the regular cable that connects to the OBD port.

That's what I did. The one that forbids the vehicle to start is the engine computer together with the pyrofuse. I did not do anything with the air bag module.

Ever have the bag blow with no impact? Since then its rare to have it start and lights cycle wipers every warning in msg center n so on there is a short in air bag obviously as it blew pulling in the drive at home. I'd expect the bag to read open not short so will be unplugging to remove wheel n bag hope that works but it's so weird one day running lamp will come on at odd times or every thing columb elect controlled goes crazy

I have a MaxySis MS906BT just bought it and I'm trying to do the same on a 2017 C300 4matic (W205) but I don't see that option in mine, the "Enable of engine after crash" option doesn't show up. Did you had to install anything else on that Computer for the option to show up? Thanks

No. I just found it in it. Try to follow my steps, to see if it'll show up. I hear from a friend that autel has been taking off some features during updates due to legal rights. I don't know for sure but this may be your issue. Check with the vendor.

Hola, espero estés bien. Mira esencialmente vaz a nesesitar el scaner para diagnosticar el estado del vehículo. Al pasar por el mismo proceso que hize yo. Si te fijas en el minuto 1;28 Hay una ventana que dice "inhibit of engine star by crash event". Si en tu camioneta está activado la ventana de "activated" va a estar azul. O puedes diagnosticar todo el vehículo y te va mandar un código del inhibidor de arranque. Espero esto te sirva. Gracias

Perdona se me olvidó. Cuando el inhibidor está activado. El motor de arranque no se acciona. Osea que no hace nada solo enciende el tablero. Cheka los fusibles. Un scaner te ayudaría bastante. Saludos

@@-UmarKhan hello. Yes when is no communication with some key modules it won't start. check the data cables they may have been cut in the crash.

Yes every time you have an air bag deployed, you will have to erase the crash data. Remember to check the pyro fuse connector to the battery

I don't know on this particular model on older models is possible to bridge the fuse inside the pyrofuse box. You should be able to see it once you open the box. Just remember that you are not fixing it you are just bypassing the fuse. You should replace the fuse whereas is replaceable.

Generally this process is to able the the vehicle to crank. I don't think your car needs it. Will be helpful to connect a scanner to obtain more info.

Yes,but when I check the fuel system with the scannner, not fuel pressure and say: REQUEST OF COMPONENT M3 (FUEL PUMP) BY CONTROL UNIT N3/10(ME-SFI[ME]CONTROL UNIT) OFF. the fuel pump not working.

MY MS906 does not have enabling of engine start after crash. I went through process several times. Airbags were deployed, seat belt was clocked. Replaced both. Including both front airbag sensors. No option. I dunno

I bought the same MS906 but mine did not have the start enable option. I returned it for a refund.

Hello. I hear from a friend that some features change with the updates due to legal infringements. Some mechanics even advice against the updates. I'm glad you could get a refund with those arguments. The true is that car companies are tighten the rules for third party diagnostic systems and pushing the use of their own provided diagnostic means and tools.

I even bought the MS908 Pro to perform this start enable after a crash. And this unit doesn't appear to have this option either. I am dealing with their customer service now .
