Only buy one manufactured I'm Stuttgart. (They apparently won the war) I'm a hypocrite and own a 2014 E350 4Matic Sport but, I will still, Never Forget what Mercedes, BMW and Audi did during the war and through their history. Plastic new models aside, they made a quality vehicle in the past.

I'm the original owner of a 2012 and it still feels new to me. Mercedes is honoring the corrosion warranty with a new subframe and I'm taking the opportunity of free labor to replace all attachments and shocks. That should make it new-ish.

@@Evolcanova You'll be happy with it. Its a great car. Drives like a dream. I hope you get lots of pre-installed options in yours (like rear view camera, park assist e.t.c. - which I didn't get in mine, but its ok)

I Love Benz

Very interesting to watch the flesh and blood workers with their practiced hands and very occasionally unsteady movements, taking care to do a good job while here and there glancing at the watchful cameras knowing that eyes are on them, as contrasted to the unwavering precision and programmed in mechanical movements of the robots which have no option but to do the job "right." There’s more in that.... ;)

You can order it either way. You can also convert it by swapping the grill and front bumper cover - not expensive to do.

I am having a hard time deciding whether or not to refresh the superficial damage to the bumpers and headlamps on my 2012. It has a new rear subframe by Mercedes and runs like new. Its just a stressful time with not knowing what the annual utility bills are going to be. They are forecast to be more than the mortgage.

At 7.03, you can see the rear air suspension bag being so flimsy that there is a dent on it. My 212 estate goes down in the matter of minutes after I park it and it will cost the best part of £1,500 to have it repaired. They should really make these more durable. My 2003 211 also has a leaking air suspension, but I kind of expect that from a 19 year old car.

From my understanding, they have an aftermarket kit that makes them much stronger and more reliable.

@@Nyck461 I am not going to make up a story and say that they drive every single car, but I do believe that they do. At least a short test drive. Keep in mind that when Mercedes-Benz released the W212, they spent approximately €1 billion on it and they knew it had to be really, really good. This is because the previous generation E class was not that great. So I would not be surprised if they did at least a short test drive of most of the cars coming off the assembly line. Of course this would vary depending on which assembly line we are talking about, because it was manufactured in different countries.

Yes, they do. My very first Mercedes was brand new and had 6 kilometers on the clock.

Ich verstehe viele Leute nicht , die das Logo oder die Modellbezeichnung vom Wagen entfernen, wenn auf der Heckklappe E350 4Matic draufsteht zb machen die das weg , das ist es doch gerade was das Heck ausmacht , sonst ist es doch zu leer , finde ich jetz. Ist Geschmacksache aber an einem AMG entfernt man ja auch kein logo. Oder wenn man einen M5 competition fährt dann lässt man doch sowas dran ,

very true. interior of new e class is also disappointing. No german feeling left in 2017 e class.

I have not seen a single hammer let alone its need; that is a German precession.

1:57 - it bothers me she peeled off the screen tape and then waited about 5 seconds before installing the exterior screen shield - I can see a dust particle on the screen. I hope its on the outside that can be brushed off, because if its on the inside, it would drive me mad!

Tried both, still superior performance compared to Lexus. Perhaps, Lexus may last forever, still can’t compare the feel and luxury of MB. My experience.

W212 is reliable. Lexus may be most reliable, but this Benz drives a heck of a lot better than a Lexus GS. Often in life, you have to pay to play.
