e-hybrid 919LMP1 You called the entire brand glorified VWs while you've driven only one of their cars (outdated nonetheless) that's going to be replaced next year. Drive an S4, S5, A6/7/8 and the S versions of those cars and you'd feel differently.

With that rear end, tail lights and general layout; I can't help but think that AMG found a way to revive the 928 instead of Porsche.

you look like the worst person to talk to about cars. all you know is mercedes mercedes!! yes they do good cars but audi does really good cars too. and don't say audi has reliability problems because i could talk about mercedes reliability between 2000 and 2007 were they were always at the garage. every cars have there faults, but it always depends on what you need.

It’s been a dream of mine to own one ....and 2 months ago I purchased pretty much the exact same car and spec , and I’m blown away with it by far the best toy I’ve ever had ✌🏻🙏🏼

This channel is unbelievably good. No other channel do I watch every video immediately because each car that you guys film is one I want to see and learn more about

On the perfect-bonkers scale, this finds itself stuck between the 911 on one side and the F-Type R on the other. One might see that a disadvantage (it's neither flawless nor ridiculous), but that makes it the one to buy. The 911 is better for a track day, but will someday bore you, causing you to regret your purchase. The F-Type is great fun for a day, but it's terrible for everyday driving. The AMG GT S falls right into the sweet spot of being usable but never boring. That's why it's so good.

***** Well, that's why the F-Type is fun but not very useful. I love it, but it's actually quite terrible. If I were given the choice of going for a drive either car, I'd drive the Jag, but given the choice of buying one, I'd have the AMG GT.

Mercedes has the best sounding V8 engines. Amazing car.

This is the kind of car that in 20 years, when I might have the slightest chance of owning one, I'd be in love with all over again every day when I heard it, felt it, and looked at it. It's like a Diablo in, what I think to be, a form that embodies a timeless glory that will never grow stale. Plus your review is fantastic as always. Every xcar video starts with ambient music or some kind of sound, and I cross my fingers everytime hoping that at the end of the song the voice of Alex Goy is featuring the video instead of that other American guy. Keep up the good work Alex sublime as every xcar vid!

Great video I have the GT R version and here in Silicon Valley the Porsche is everywhere. SO this is a bit different and draws attention but not too flashy like some of the super cars. Your observations are spot on and very near mine.

Excellent review Alex, as usual. I'm headed to Vegas in April to rent one these. They say money can't buy happiness. I say "rent it instead!"

After I'm done with this last of the line edition 507, I'm hoping in 2 years time to be able to justify one of these. Drove one a few months back and the sound is brutal, makes my old TVR sound dull.

AMG and Mercedes as a whole just have a way with paint and body work that Audi and BMW just can't match. Even their entry cars (CLA) look fantastic with all the swooping lines
