@youtoobe169 Thanks! I have run a diesel purge through it since the video was made and I do notice a difference in acceleration. I have also recently installed new Bilstein shocks and the difference is amazing, especially in the corners. I will buy and install some new injectors soon, I'm thinking around Christmas. I absolutely love this car, I drive it every day and it has never let me down. I recently took it on a trip to Portland, 18 hours round trip and I couldn't think of a better car.

@vdHProductions It's awesome the bond you have with the car! I had a 1979 300D that I thought injectors would make a difference in, but they didn't. Not one bit. It was an easy job, but the car still ran exactly the same as it did. I sis put new shocks on the same car and I would have to agree it was an amazing difference though.

Beautiful car. Might want to change the windscreen someday though.

I just watched the rest of this video and it's fantastic, it really gives you a great idea of what this car is all about. I think your 0-60 time is a bit off, should be in the 20's. Maybe 25? Have you run diesel purge through it? The 220D was my first Benz, I paid about $100 for it. It's what got me hooked on diesels.

I guess it is true that the old diesel Mercs were not built to be quiet and clean, but instead built to last forever.

Absolutely right! Last they do. The can put up with little to no maintenance, but they really like it when they get attention.

The idle speed is set manually with the knob on the dash to the left of the key.
