If Dyson made a robot, it would look like this

His head looks like a clock radio
The new Atlas is like a ninja warrior made of titanium. This one looks like a disabled person made of Legos.

Tbf Boston dynamics has decades of robotics experience. Also the more competition the better!

I’m sure their prices reflect as much. No one can afford a Boston, except the government. But this may be affordable?
I have a robot that washes my dishes. My dishwasher.

And unlike this thing, the diswhwasher won't accidentally strangle my houseplant when it "misinterprets" a command.
What are his feet made of - Dyson vacuum cleaners ?
These new robots have better posture than me

you too can improve posture, do related exercises for 3-6 months and you'll get a perfect posture

With all the robotic development it's like a coldwar to see who builds skynet first
So that's where my old kinect camera went...

LOL... I was wondering the same thing
Look out, Atlas??? Are you kidding me? Atlas makes this thing look like a tinkertoy
walks like my back hurt.
Looks about as steady on its feet as my Grams
Those legs... One kick and it's over.
He walks like joker when he blows up hospital

"I need your clothes, boots and Motorcycle."
MenteeBot skipped leg day.
it looks like atlas has a challenged cuzzin
"Look out atlast" Atlast: Is that a joke?
😂🤣😂🤣 Atlas 2 makes this thing like a high school science project made with an erector set.
Look out Atlas? Atlas would drop kick this foo and proceed to do the twist on its twitching robot carcass.
Whoever wrote this caption needs to understand what good robotics looks like.
Looks like he got 1 or 2 drinks to much
It does walk like a drunk friend! 🤣🤣
Let them all tested on the jungle and find out who's gonna survive.
This could work as a budget option, but as far as raw performance goes a lot of other companies take the cake. However it's cute little wobbling is so joyous and I hope for the best with this one.
We are witnessing what Ray Kurzweil calls 'the law of accelerating returns" 👍🏾
Atlas is busy filming the new terminator movie where he fights Keanu Reaves while this thing waddles around a diner like a lost 70 year old in poor condition
0:07 _"has human like dexterity"_ Yeah, I don't believe you. If it did, they wouldn't have to place objects on it like a shopping cart.
I'm not in doubt that the demo videos are cut and edited to make it look like it works faster and more flawlessly than it's going to do in real life. - just like it's been shown to be the case for i.e. Google and AI/assistant
Say what you will but the walking actually seems more natural because it walks by leaning to the tipping point of balance instead of half squatting to reach its forward gait. Granted, it still looks like it's holding the hose after one too many drinks but it's still better than Asimo or Atlas, both of which walk like an adult wading a shallow kiddiepool
it gives me great pleasure to introduce to you robocop 2.
Atlas looks more like the bot from Lost in Space. This thing looks silly and drunk. More like a party court jester.
looks like they used vacuum cleaner parts lmao
Really cool and scary also. Great job!
Should have Hovers as shoes, Missed opportunity.
So this is what Mr Handy prototype looks like
K-2SO! Damn we’re getting there, folks.
100 yrs later,"weres my dinner"!😅😅😅
I hope mentee is affordable. If its less than 10k, can clib stairs up and down, clean and do my laundry I’ll buy it for sure

id pay $25k to never have to do chores again. $30k if I can have lightsaber battles with it.
@MrErick1160
Ай бұрын
@@rl10851 😂😂😂. Good point. If it lasts 10 years 20k seems like a good investment. But if it lasts 3 years like phones do and have to upgrade all the time, then I'll wait for 2030's AGI version 😂
Atlas should be very worried, this one's built with a right to defend itself.
Boston Dynamics: AM I A JOKE TO YOU?
Looks like those super battle droids from star wars lol
omg I'm scared now. @1:57 bot walks just like the old lady in 'It Follows.'
And so it begins!
MenteeBot save me I'm walking as fast as i can 🤖
Its gait is pretty good, as these early generation robots go this is perhaps the best to date
Nothing compares to Atlas. Let's get real.
Once they (Mentee or Boston or Tesla or whoever) teach robots to build cars perfectly, they will be built faster, better and cheaper. This might be ten years away, but the effect could be staggering.
I love this design. It looks like a Destiny npc robot
Boston engineers: can we push it with sticks
Boston Dynamic’s is like: “that’s cute”😂
2:00 "It uses large language models to interpret your commands" - LLM, otherwise known as artificial stupidity. In other words, every now and again it will completely spazz out and instead of doing the dishes, it will smash your pc and jump out of the window.....
Boston Dynamics has a better looking robot than MenteeBot
trust me. Atlas has zero to worry about. Lol.

@@St0rmGuy Most companies and people don't need parkour robots. If this robot can do simple tasks and cost less than an Atlas robot, it will find its customers.

no mention of Optimus?
An early glimpse at Robocop.
OPTIMUS for the win, excellent reporting.....duuuuuurp
How much extra work would it have been to design it with a head?
But can it help me carry a couch up multiple flights of stairs?

Kamaráde si ho postiženou chůzí určitě není schopen ani sám chodit do schodů 😂
Bro is made of K'Nex
Dyson is looking at this and working for a killer product im sure of it
The only option with robotics is to build one that will win at war. Hooman will be stuck between good and bad warring AI.
Nothing like humans" robots", we are very versatile robots.
How long until we see a walking robotchair for people who use wheelshairs?
Atlas look out? Atlas can… • jump • flip • run • skip • dance • remain standing after being pushed by abusive human • all sort of ninja moves • get up like it was possessed by the devil from the Exorcist Nah…
Welp, gg atlas you won Edit: wait minut did they just copy Optimus or at least the idea (i talk about menteebot)
Need one that will do all the house work. Will pay up to $100k if it lasts more than 7 years.
I Like Cute Little Robo!!! 👌🏻😃✌🏻
Got a long way to go to play with the big boys.
methods to disable those treats?
That Bot wouldn't last 30 minutes at Amazon warehouse.
Ok Mantee come with me we are going grocery shopping
@user-gw1os2lb3j
Ай бұрын
That would be freaking insane though. Like image your bot gets in the car and has a full on conversation with you on the way 🤣, it pushes your cart etc...🥹
1:17 the rise of the robots, can nobody see it? Hidden in simple gestures. Those spindly legs don't fool me.
Im slowly take a liking on this thing - it has something like a Skaterboy who has stole papa´s beer.
I seem to remember this girl from adult movies.
They could have at least given the poor thing a head. I'd have to tape down a balloon with a face drawn on it, or maybe mount a "Wilson."
Very impressive although new generation atlas is a far more impressive feat if you ask me.
How much will it cost? Note that this is not for sale this year. Can you do a comparison of all the humanoid robots that are either for sale now or are scheduled come to market in 2024 (noting which ones are sold only for factory use (currently) or are for sale for other uses)?
Thanks for pointing out that the company that makes the Mentee Bot also has the word 'Mentee' in its name. I would never have notice that if you didn't take time to state it.
What a time to be alive and with ai in humans transhumanism!
pls sell him in local general stores
This bot has nothing on the new atlas the new all eletric bot can move like nothing you seen before. And stronger than a human
Why was it handed a club or metal pipe?
What LLM does the bot have? Llama?
Could we get a head, or is that an upgrade?
Terminator will be here too soon!
Optimus should have made the cut x
Walks like an old woman in orthopedic shoes.
1:38 Uncut? It literally cuts 3 seconds after you say "uncut"...
Don’t care, show me Robosen Megatron!!
All this has happened before, and it will all happen again.
This is far away from Atlas
Give it a head; if only for psychological reasons.
But can it clean out the cat litter box?
Almost as stiff as I am 😅
Why does this video seem like an ad?
his head is flat, would be better if put the propher one like Sensors turret dome O
Why is there such a fixation on humanoid bipedal robots? There are far more energy-efficient, stable platforms that should be pursued.
Great this goes to Japan, and my parents can retire there.
welcome to the IDF!
nah fam atlas laughing at this.. They have the experience sice 1992
