It doesn't look like Cheslie even wanted to do this interview. I totally get it. The spirit & energy is not there, and it's exhausting to fake it. It's literally SO draining. That's how i used to feel at work, having to fake it all day for 9 HOURS. I couldn't wait to be at home, alone, in my bed, resting my soul.

If Cheslie was still on earth, I wouldn’t have noticed anything. Now that she has departed, I can see how she’s constantly blinking and taking in the information with sad eyes. Poor baby, she stayed strong until she no longer could take it. Cheslie, you’re now a star in the sky and forever you’ll shine so bright 💖

@@Nighthawk171 the era of narcissism. Sadly all she has accomplished went down the drain. Doesn’t really give good role model to young women. Thinking you are worthless at 30 is not what we want young people to think. I really am surprised that this act is being made excuse of by using depression as an excuse. We all have been there at some point and we aren’t even as attractive or successful as Chesley was. Seems like she knew how to get help. The question is why then. Whether she intended to do so or not, Cheslie was leaving some serious red flags about her mental health that should have been easy to pick up on. But because she concealed her agony so well that not even her own _mother_ knew until it was too late, these signs were easily overlooked. I’m going through my own battles with stress and depression (amplified by being a military serviceman in a fast paced, high-stress unit with a toxic environment), and I can’t help but feel my heart break for this beautiful girl. I wish I was a personal friend of hers that could have saved her. Cheslie, I hope you’re finally at peace, and I hope to see you on the other side eventually. Our hearts mourn for you. I’m sorry.

It kinda sounds like the girl on the bottom screen was ashamed of her family and now she’s using them to “advocate” for them on her pageant platform. I hope this isn’t the case, but it sounds hurtful to those actually suffering to hear. I’m not trying to make a thing about this but if I were to guess, Cheslie turned closed off because she recognized the disingenuous or at least shallow language in the other woman.

Something happened to cause this. New York City can be a tough, and isolating place to chase dreams. I wish this intelligent, sophisticated, beautiful, young Sister went back home to be with her family during lockdown. I think the extreme isolation, lack of connection with people who loved and cared about her, was contributing to a very quiet, composed despair, along with other unknown factors that may have lead to this catastrophic decision. She had a big family, and it looked loving and supportive. This is something they will survive but never get over. What a beautiful soul, who fought for social Justice and Black Lives. May she Rest In Peace, and be remembered in the best possible way. Blessings, Prayers to her family. I know she has a number of young siblings also. My heart aches for them. Cheslie never talk about a boy friend or a relationship. Never see a guy in any of her many videos. I don't think she had a Black or White issue. Only her mom knows what happened in her mind. I saw the Miss USA pageant the day she won. I saw her again when she represented the U.S. in the Miss Universe pageant & then again recently when she was a commentator on the most recent Miss Universe pageant. She always seemed to be confident & happy. One would think she had it all together, had a bright future & was living her best life. I was shocked to hear of her death. I thought how tragic, never once thinking it was suicide. For some reason it has really affected me in a scary way. I have never struggled with depression or had thoughts of suicide myself but suddenly I'm wondering how many people I know or those around me are struggling but trying to hide it. Unlike you, looking at this video knowing what happened, I thought I could see her relating this conversation to her own situation. Then again, I may be reading more into it. Had I seen it when it originally aired, I would not have thought that.

I think in learning more about her story and listening to interviews she’s done like this, she was trying to find answers and purpose to her own existence, but in the end nothing sufficed. That essay she wrote in Allure magazine shed much light on why she actually killed herself. Check it out y’all.

I agree I as well read the essay and she basically said, she accomplished all this to make other people happy. Who were those people? In my opinion, she looked happy being a lawyer or working in a business. She did it to make her mother happy.

Exactly that. Her mother perhaps put a lot of pressure on her or either spoke too highly of herself and gave Cheslie very little credit for everything she had accomplished at such an early age. Lord Jesus, just 30 years old and worried about aging. I appreciate my life but she made me appreciate my life even more being around her age. She had the money to afford a therapist however, there is such a Huge stigma on mental health awareness. She could have paid a good therapist. And her colleagues were very good mentors to her seeing from the videos on KZread.

Trust & believe IMHO it was something far worse she feared than aging. We all know if we're lucky enough we'll age, so it wasn't a newfound fact and she waited until 3-. Why not 29, 29 1/2 yrs. old? Not saying turning 30 may have made a smidgen for what really ailed her & her method of dying - she made sure her entire being would be shattered no possibility of going out easy/to be rescued. She was tormented from something but I don't buy turning 30 as the main reason.

Everybody should just buck up, smile, and be happy. Right? As a depressed person myself, I so wish I could do just that. It feels like the lights are on but nobody is really home. Another analogy is that Cheslie could have been surrounded by everybody who loved and admired her and just wanted to give her a hug. But with depression, there was a huge part of her that could not be reached, no matter how hard anybody tried - a terrible feeling indeed! Some medications in the right doses have helped so many but I think a lot of these medications do more harm than good and I suspect that there is more than one type of medication out there that shouldn't be prescribed to anyone (more experimental than anything else).

This just came up in my suggested videos. Chelsie looked like she had anger, frustration and curiosity flashing on her countenance at times. Seemed like she was searching for how to solve her issues of mental health, but didn’t find them in the talk. I feel some anger about this happening to this young lady, it is a loss, she was stolen from life. It’s like she was in a glass menagerie. Pageants and tv journalism do not allow you to be real, this is an injustice. I believe a close relationship with Jesus Christ is important for mental health as well as counseling. I am so sorry for the loss her family is feeling.🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

My observations. Cheslie was uncomfortable with the topic. The frequent tightness & contraction of her throat muscles plus the twitching of her lips shows discomfort and internal struggle to stay in control. At some point, she tried to use her hands to cover up her non- verbal facial expression, particularly of her 💋 movement. Finally, between 21.45- 50, she lost a bit of that control and train of her thoughts and struggled a bit to catch herself. Her smile was forced. It doesn't go beyond the surface of her face. The discomfort is more apparent when Gabriella was talking about checking on strong friends because they're the ones most likely to have a lot issues going on. Her eyes? I will say she's a bit tired 😫 Overall, she's disconnected, unlike her other passionate bubbling interviews. This is so heartbreaking 💔 😢 May her soul rest in peace.

She should have stood proud and just continue to be thankful to God for what he had allowed her to accomplish. But I don't think she did tha.t she did just the opposite. I think she began to see a lot of things that she had believed was not true and was not really necessary. The world has started changing and perhaps she didn't like what she saw and no longer wanted to be a part of it.
