Here’s my birthday present to you. There’s one question you have to answer for yourself. Do you want to live???!!!!! If the answer is yes, find the thing(s) you are living for. I’m obese and am on this journey with you. You’re just quitting and quitters have habits and behaviors just like successful people. Stop! Stop quitting on yourself. Just do the work! Just make different choices. I’m doing it. Others have done it. If you want to live, stop talking about it and get it done! Show up for yourself everyday. Not for KZread, not for your mom, not for your work, but for you! Dig deep, pass the excuses, pass the self sabotage, pass the guilt, pass the addiction, pass feeling sorry for yourself and get busy living!

@@douggiedoesfatloss I have to be hard on you champ. I’m not holding you to a standard that I’m not following myself. I have a live weigh-in happening on Saturday afternoon. It’s time to put up or shut up for us both. People act like they are supporting us but behind our backs and in other circles they really think we’re never gonna lose the weight. I don’t need their fake support and I don’t care for anyone’s pity. It’s our time Douggie!!! Let’s goooooooo!

Doug, the channel is really moving along. I like the thumbnail and the introduction. Looking good. Remember Doug, we're not all perfect. Just pick yourself back up and dust yourself off and keep at it. It's a learning process. As time progresses, you'll know what to look out for and how to handle it. Eventually, it will just be second nature and there ain't no stopping that train. I know you kinda feel bad about still being here. Sounds a lot like survivors guilt. You being here is a blessing, Doug. Remember that. Comparison is the thief of joy. We all have different pathways through life. All we can do is make the best of it. We also have to understand that sometimes things just don't make sense to us, and that's OK. We'll either figure it out or we won't. Just don't focus on it too much. Keep your eye on the ball. You're helping others with your journey. It's really inspiring. You should know that. I grew up in the 80s and 90s like you and nobody ever told me they were proud of me. We just assumed but never really knew. But hey, I'm proud of you Doug. Not only for your weight loss journey, but for being so open and honest with us and for your progress with the channel. Our toughest critic is ourself. One bad thing can make 100 good things feel like nothing. You have to give yourself credit where credit is due. Write it all down if that helps. It does me. I get stuck in a loop of thoughts and just writing things down kinda gets it out of my mind and onto paper and gives those thoughts a physical presence to where I can really see what they all adds up to.

@douggiedoesfatloss No problem. Thankyou for your kind words. My wife is an amazing person. I was a wreck before I met her and for a while while we were together and I slowly started changing my ways. Her kindness and generosity is very easy to see and it's contagious. I've had those moments with my channel where it was stagnant and it's frustrating. It's tempting to put out clickbait videos sometimes bc I know they'll get the views. I always have to tell myself that the number 1 reason I'm doing the channel is for me. I enjoy it. Bc of the way I was raised, I feel guilty about that sometimes, but i have to get past that. Everything else as far as the channel goes is secondary. That makes it to where the channel is 100% true and honest and actually better, in that sense, for the viewer. Don't let the views and subscriber count dictate your content and how you feel about yourself. That's not your problem and don't make it your problem. Don't change who you are just for higher numbers. It's a tradeoff you'll never win.

What you just wrote is very important. Many of have feelings of worthlessness. It is important to write all the good, kind things you have done to silence the "head noise" that says you are not worthy of the time and effort.

It’s called yo yo dieting. I’m a food addict myself. Lost 200 lbs Comes down to WRITING IT ALL DOWN. check out the SNAKE DIET also. It’s on utube. Get the electrolytes down at least. Keep track. Ultimately you want to ride a bike.
