Thanks for watching! I think the colour for this car is wrong. What do you think?

gulf was not a sponsor yet the gulf blue is darker, if you add some white to it would be better

@@nutofgandalf710 Because of Ford's request, all 3 entries were Mustang colors. The # 1 car was Arcadian Blue.

Great effort mate, made me chuckle with the primers....and the pebble dash ref! I like the mixing written in the spray booth.

Thanks for watching mate! I started writing the mix down as a cheat sheet, really, because I'm forgetful, but I may keep doing it!

Great to see you back at the bench, Luke. I've got the Fujimi '68 version of the GT40 but I'm yet to find a good Gulf blue in a spray can. I've also got the Fujimi Ferrari 330 p4 which I'm looking forward to make. If you've not seen Le Mans '66, I recommend it! I think the side markers you mentioned are for the pit crew to work out which car is which during the night at Le Mans.

Thanks mate! I've not got the fujimi one, I do want it, though! I'll give it a watch! That's really interesting about the side markers, thanks for letting me know! :)

Nice work and good advice. Have this kit but am seriously thinking about painting it as if it were my car about to enter the races. So something other than what has already been done. I don't know.... I guess it's just more fun for me that way. Plus if I make a major mistake, I meant to do that. hehe Kills some of the stress since it costs $90 for the kit here in the US.

Awesome! I really want this kit. Really wasn't a fan of Zero's primers. I'm quickly falling in love with Mr. Surfacer 1500 thinned 60/40 mr leveling thinner/primer. Great video Luke. I use disposable medicine cups so my wife doesn't kill me for stealing the Ramakins :) (I steal those for decaling)

It's not a bad kit, just a bit tough with fitment at times. Mr Surfacer is now my go to! Hahaa, I think I need to invest in some, though this ramakin is well and truly mine now!

Very interested to hear your opinions on this kit Luke. I would try Zero Paints for yourself, sprayed in light coats I find them excellent. . Buy British as you do with your sanders!

Thanks mate! I've used Zero in the past and will use it in the future, It just seemed the Gravity was more predictable, I even hosed it on on the underside of the body to try and get it to craze, and it did, however it wasn't as bad as I've had with Zero.

Did you consider thinning the Zero primer? I've never used Zero products.

I did think about it, however, I just stuck to what I know. I had used this particular bottle before and its pre thinned and used to work well. Thankfully this time it was just the airbrush!
