That is simply sublime. What a beautiful piece and performance
Just great performance! It was just pleasure to watch the musicians, too, they really had fun. And their faces, perhaps particularly the pianist's, expressed these shared emotions. It is so difficult to believe that Mendelssohn was only 15 when he composed this sextet.
Such a great composition, great performance, great fun and great tone (2 violas instead of 2 violins is a great sound!). Well done!

Anybody can play Mendelssohn with SPEED, but these musician play the music with PACE and that makes all the difference. Many thanks to Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Centre and is there any more from you out there?
